Im not sure how to document this and will try to keep the explaination short:

2 years ago I left my full time job to stay home and care for my parents. (Mom has alzheimers, legally blind and severe diabetic) April of last year I took on a paper route by night to give me income yet be home by day for her doctors appointments and cooking and so on. However, we put the contract into my fathers name since he was helping for tax purposes and to show additional income to refinance the house (better debt to income ratio since I contribute heavily here as well). Long story short..I can't legally show a taxable income for 2006. In June of this year we changed the contract over to my name. Making my income alone enough to provide financial support for my SO. My letter from my employer will state that I"ve been a carrier with them since LAST year along WITH my father and that THIS June the contract and financial information was converted to my name alone. Along with the other important information. (They didn't do a new contract just changed the names and direct deposits into MY name) Have I confused everyone?

Anyways what Im PLANNING to put into my I134 for documentation is:

1. Letter from employer

2. 3 years tax transcripts (my ex husband filed for us last year as i was still legally a dependant although I show no income)

3. Social Security Statement Showing my consistant work history and earnings over the last 20 years

4. Pay stubs from June till time to send packet 3

5. Bank Letter

6. 1 year of bank statments

7. Deed of Gift on home (I was deeded a gift of 75% of this house)

8. Current Appraisal of home (showing current value)

9. Current pay off letter from bank (showing a that there is equity of which 75% would be legallly mine)

10. Notorized letter of explaination of how my father and I worked together and our situation from both my parents and I

My question is....willl this do or will I still need my father to co-sponser? Since I can't show an income for last year but my letter of employment will show I was with them. Or should I have the employer only show from Juneof this year? Will that hurt us that I didn't work ALL year by tax records.

Any advice. I am fully ready with my parents documentation to if needed.

I think you have it covered, provided your income is sufficient. If it is marginal, it may well be worth getting an I-134 and supporting documents from your father, in case they are needed.

What you probably should consider is whether the occupation and employment information you gave to USCIS when you filed the petition will be raising any flags that prompt more scrutiny of your financial condition.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous

Thank you. I think on my petition since i had to cover 5 years, it shows periods of unemployment due to illness, but I ALWAYS had a good income considering that. And I put June 2007 as my employment date for THIS employer not knowing they would go back. I think to be safe...I'll use the co sponser. WE want to avoid delays and issues. Im a bit nervous...seems EVERYTHING causes a red flag. All we want is to be with our loved ones.
