Got school zone speeding ticket. ( $10 to $500 fine or /and 5 to 30 days in jail. Guilty and convention can affect and ruin citizenship interview ?
Thanks

It depends how you are charged. If it's under reckless driving, it may affect the citizenship. If it's normal speeding, may not affect.

In my state Tennessee and surrounding states here ,  they take speeding in a school zone as serious offense/  we like our kids

and this infraction will stay on a  criminal report forever in many states (like my speeding ticket from 1994 is still shown)

big thing to worry about is how it affects your insurance premiums

and since u do not have a timeline and offer the information about what the state is ,  we have limited info to give out

like knowing the timeframe between the offense and the N 400 interview and what u can do to show you learn to drive defensively in the interim / for example taking a safety driving class as some states offer one

Can you be more vague? State where in Oklahoma and the jurisdiction that ticketed you. Local laws differ. When was the ticket? When is your interview? Have you completed an N400? The people here don't have a crystal ball to know your particulars without you stating so.

Interesting response from the lawyer

What does the ticket say on its face as the charge?
Has a prosecutor filed it as a ticket (TR-2014-xxx) or as a Misdemeanor (CM-2014-xxx) at the appropriate district court”

Is not what you got the ticket for that may affect you, is what you plea guilty to. When you decide to fight the ticket the prosecutor will %90 of the time offer you a plea to a lesser serious offense which in this case could be reckless driving  and a fine to avoid the points on your license and a speeding offense on your record.

If you get a traffic ticket for speeding, the offense is a civil infraction that is punished by the payment of fines only. ... Reckless driving is a misdemeanor crime, which is a much more serious offense than getting a traffic ticket.

DON'T PLEAD GUILTY TO RECKLESS DRIVING
