My wife and I are filing all our forms to immigrate to The United States, and we are currently filling out the CRBA forms, we have come against a speed hump,  both our babies are IFV babies. They are both our DNA...my sperm and her eggs. Anyone else have to go through this and where do we begin?

How in the world would the CRBA process be any different than for babies conceived conventionally?

The names of the parents on the birth certificates are my wife and I...but on the immigration page it makes for certain that babies born through IVF or ART need to be through paper only?

Huh?  Sorry, but you are not making sense.

Birth certificates are about establishing where, when and to whom a person is born.  The circumstances of an eventual person's conception are not documented on a birth certificate.

Me and my wife are thinking that is just for surrogacy....but the page mentions sometimes DNA is mixed up etc etc....so I think basically what immigration is asking is,if they WERE in fact born through the IVF process, they in fact want to make sure the DNA is in fact from an American citizen. For example, we have friends that had to also fo IVF...his sperm was no good,so they had to get sperm from somewhere else,so that baby would NOT be eli5because it's not in fact his sperm, where as out babies are my wifes eggs and my sperm,me being the citizen.

Yes we have gone to that page , our kids are already born .

Proceed with the CRBA applications, disclose the surrogacy, and see what the embassy says. If they want dna they get dna.  Then it is case closed.

It wasn't a surrogacy, my wife gave birth to them both, but they needed to remove her eggs and fertilize the eggs with my sperm, then the fertilized egg was then transferred into her and then she became pregnant, she couldnt fall pregnant naturally as she has polycystic ovaries.

Don't worry just have all IVF documents ready if asked.

Even in your friend's case, it's good now. They revised policy in 2021 that allows transmission of citizenship for surrogate/ART/IVF child as long as one of the married parents is a USC and the child is genetically related to one of the parents (doesn't necessarily be genetically connected to USC parent).

I just don't see how the method of conception would ever even come up.  Biological parents whose babies became embryos in a lab are legally no different than biological parents whose babies became embryos at home or in a Taco Bell bathroom.  There is no separate notation on anyone's birth certificate about manner of conception.

Surrogacy/sperm donor situations are completely different.

Lol I needed that laugh Jorgedig!!! I'm just making sure we are covering all bases as it specifically says if you cant answer yes to all the questions you must do it by paper application only, but i guess that's for people who want to CONCEIVE overseas...we've already had them and they are both our DNA...that all being said, i see you've got the Australian flag and American flag as your profile pic. If you dont mind me asking where are you living now and if in the USA how long did the process take?

Again thanks for the laugh !
