Hello everyone :)

It's me again!

My husband (US Citizen) has recently lost his job and we are at the NVC stage. Before he lost his job, they asked for documents regarding his W2 which he submitted. Now he is unemployed and we are not sure how this will affect us until he finds a new job. Is anyone able to offer any advice? :(

Thank you.

Do you have a co sponsor available?

Prepare an updated I 864

I had sort of assumed he would not qualify without a job, which may not be the case. But best to prepare on with a new job

When he gets a new job, you should be good without a new I-864 as long as it is similar pay.  Take a pay stub to the interview in case they want to see evidence of the new job.  You COULD submit an updated I-864 but not really necessary.

If he does NOT get a new job before the interview, definitely submit both an updated I-864 for him and a full affidavit and supporting documentation from a qualified joint sponsor.  (Note:  It's "joint sponsor" not "co-sponsor".)
