Some silly questions for AOS :)

Helllooooo again everyone!

Right, this time I do have some questions, might be overthinking I don’t know! (For filing AOS k1).

1. Re: Affidavit of support, is the petitioner meant to sign the bottom of all the W2s, tax transcripts etc again? I remember doing this for the i-129f much earlier.

2. Regarding the above if yes, then do they want the actual signed copy or it’s ok to give a photocopy of those with the signature instead?

3. My fiancé has a Chase bank account. He can’t seem to add me for finances without a social security number which I do not have atm, but am applying for one in the AOS. We are not married yet, will be in 2 weeks.

Currently, I read that you had to show shared finances like a joint account, but as of now if he can’t add me because of this SSN, can I show something else like a lease with our names and insurance (after we get married) under him etc?

I have brought cash with me, but obviously have my own personal credit cards of my own country, and I use his debit card for emergencies. I’m not a big spender and I usually use cash for groceries? I mean there’s no difficulties in finances, just that he can’t add me for now.

We have some Amazon stuff in both of our names at our rented address too. But the bank part is difficult and just wanted any helpful advice :) thank you.

ps - he said once we get married we will ask if Chase allows to add a spouse under his bank account.

4. during the AOS interview, can we bring extra evidence? Asking this as maybe then I will finally be added as a joint account member or something similar.

Yes. After you are married and receive your SSN, you will be able to be added to more stuff with him.

Was never needed in first place.

If you are submitting an actual tax return copy, it must be signed on the signature line whether you paper filed or electronically filed, but that's it.

What you are speaking of though wasn't necessary.

Try after you marry if you LIKE

Banks wont allow fiance's but they will spouse's.

A bank account isn't necessary.

That's not true to FILE AOS. You need your marriage certificate, that's it.

Financial proofs can be brought to I485 interview if you have them but they are moreso looking for them when you file I751 in a couple of years.

As above, yes you can bring them but you likely won't be asked for them until ROC in a few years.
