APPLYING CR-1 visa to my spouse in Russia

Hello everyone. Need your advice. We live together in Russia now. I am US permanent resident. Me and my Russian wife live together in Moscow now.

The problem is that in ~18 months my studies in Russia will end and I will work in USA.  What are the chances that this time will be enough to visa approval?  I am very afraid that we will have to live separately some time.

So, the main question is: How long does it take now to CR-1 visa approval after application?

thank you for the answers!

Your first problem is that you are a US PR living and studying in Russia

How do you expect to show you are maintaining your PR status?

Is your wife a USC?

~ Moved from IR1/CR1 to Bringing Family members of permanent residents- OP is not a US citizen ~

How are you living in Russia if you’re a green card holder…? How will you demonstrate you didn’t abandon your residency?

Secondly, CR1 is for spouses of US citizens. What you’re looking for is F2A, spouses of US permanent residents.
