Expedite EAD for Grad School Assistantship?

I've heard of posters advising that EAD expedite requests can be made when a job offer is received. Would it be feasible to request an EAD be expedited for a Master's degree offer with financial assistance (e.g. research assistantship that covers tuition and pays a monthly stipend)?

Also out of curiosity, how often is an EAD expedite request approved for a pending job offer?

A bit more on my current situation:

I am the beneficiary, currently engaged to my US citizen fiancee. We are both currently in the US, and I am working on an H-1B visa.

We plan to marry in June 2022, and I'm anticipating being accepted into a Masters program with financial assistance starting in August/September 2022.

We also plan to file I-130/I-485 jointly very soon after marriage. I am wondering whether it is possible to call USCIS to expedite my I-765 once we have filed and the applicaiton has been received?

It would seem logical to marry and file asap.

You can certainly apply for expedited EAD, obviously discretionary and partly dependent on how good a case you can make.

Thanks for the advice. At this point, the June date isn't negotiable, nor are we in a position to get "legally married" now, then have celebrations with family and friends later.

I'm willing to defer admission until August/September 2023  and wait until my EAD arrives the normal way (probably April/May 2023), but I'm wanting to explore my options.

It seems that with a June wedding date, the limiting factor on my expedition request would be waiting for biometrics to be done first.

Are there ways to get biometrics done earlier, rather than waiting to be contacted by USCIS for them?

So what is your plan if you go ahead and your expedite is not approved?

That's something my fiancee and I are in the midst of discussing - most likely it will mean that I will continue in my current H-1B job.

The more I think about it (and get to reflect on by reading similar posts/timelines about EADs with AOS), the more I think the expedite pathway isn't viable, and the safest path is simply to defer admission by a year and wait for the EAD the standard way.

Sort of also begs the question if you can do a Masters at this institution when you are adjusting

I was thinking more of the former, only you can answer the later.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

That's something that I'd already cleared with the Graduate Admissions offices and International Student services at each institution I've applied to.

I appreciate your help being a sounding board and asking good questions to keep me accountable in case of things not going to plan!
