Missing 212(e) finding letter

Hi all,

I applied for advisory opinion for 212(e) waiver on Nov 2, 2020. The US state portal suggest 212(e) finding letter has been sent on Nov 24, 2020. However, I haven't received the letter yet. I have called multiple times, no one picks up the phone. I have emailed at the given address- no response. Does anyone know how long does it takes to receive the letter once sent. Can I reapply for the advisory opinion?

Thank you,

Thank you,

Assume that you were subject to home-residency requirement (HRR), and apply for the waiver instead of reapplying for the advisory opinion. I think reapplying would waste time. If they find you are subject to HRR, they will let you know that, otherwise process your application to issue or not issue FR depending on your situation. Just an opinion, not sure if it's best.

Where have you been calling?

Maybe make a infopass appointment with USCIS.

InfoPass is irrelevant here. The advisory opinion is issued by Department of State, not USCIS, and they would have no information on it.

No, the final copy comes from USCIS.

Did you even go through this process? Because I did.

OP asks about advisory opinion. That's is not issued by USCIS, but by the Department of State. USCIS is not involved in this process other than in case of a waiver (which OP hasn't applied for).
