Hi there,

My husband and I (and our two children 15 & 13) have applied for immigrating to US as Canadian citizens under category EW - Employment-based sponsorship (not any relatives included as sponsor). We got the letter from NVC yesterday confirming that all our documents have been received and our case is qualified for an interview at US Consulate in Montreal. Does anyone has any recent info on interview appointment date timeline scheduled in Montreal? I know that Quebec is currently in lockdown as we are here in Ontario until January 31st when it ends. Thank you so much.

Unfortunately, I don't have good news for you. The Montreal consulate EB wait time is extremely long, about 26 months at the moment. You might want to add your details to the Montreal EB tracker spreadsheet. Also, you subscribe to EB discussion thread for Montreal.

Current wait time for an interview is over 2 years.

This is unbelievable. We belong on the EW category. So how can the company that has offered the job to my husband (not relative) can hold the position open for two years? I honestly am not going to wait 2 years for an interview that I don't even know if I will get approved. Quebec is opening on February the 1st and I hope they start processing sooner. I can't get it... 2 years?
