Document checklist for I-130, I-485, I-864, I-131

Hi, 

I am filing the Green card for my father who is in USA on B2 visa. I will be submitting I-130 online and then sending  I-485, I-864, I-131 in mail with I-797. I earn enough to be a sole sponsor but I file joint taxes with my husband.

I would highly appreciate if you could take a look at my checklist of documents I am planning to send with the forms.

⦁    Form I-130:
1.    A copy of petitioner's naturalization certificate.
2.     A copy of petitioner's passport biographical page.
3.     A copy of petitioner's birth certificate.
4.    A copy of beneficiary's Marriage Certificate.

 

⦁    Form I-485:
1.    Personal check of $1,225.00.
2.    Cover letter of the contents for I-485 packet.
3.    Form G-1145, E-Notification Application, father
4.    Form I-485, Application to Adjust Status.
5.    A copy of beneficiary's passport biographical page.
6.    A copy of beneficiary's visa and most recent admission stamp page.
7.    A copy of beneficiary's I-94 Form.
8.    A copy of beneficiary's birth certificate.
9.    Beneficiary's 2 Passport photos with full name on back and name on plastic bag.
10.    A copy of Form I-797.
11.    I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record (sealed by civil surgeon).

 

⦁    Form I-864:
1.    Cover letter of the contents for I-864.
2.    Form I-864, Affidavit Of Support.
3.    Employee verification letter.
4.    IRS Tax years - 2018,2019,2020.
5.    W-2s for the most recent three tax years, 2018, 2019, 2020.
6.    Copy of Sponsor's Passport.
7.    W2  from the spouse.
8.    Copy of SSN (Sponsor).

 

⦁    Form I-131:
1.    Cover letter of the contents for I-131.
2.    Form G-1145, E-Notification Application.
3.    Form I-131, Application for Travel Document.
4.    Copy of beneficiary's passport biographical page.
5.    A copy of beneficiary's visa and most recent admission stamp Page.
6.    A copy of beneficiary's I-94 Form.
7.    beneficiary's 2 Passport photos with full name on back and name on plastic bag;
8.    Photo copy of Form I-797?

It needs to be translated.

No, no, no!!!

Read the instructions. If you send the IRS tax return transcripts do not send W-2s. You’ll end up with RFE that will significantly delay the case.

The SSN is not needed.

Why would you include the spouse’s W2?
