Yes, I 've seen it and I was surprised. Like prior responders  wrote, that  processing time is not absolute. So at this point God only knows what is going on.  Keep hoping and pray for the best. I'm on the same boat. ( early 2021 filer).

Well, with the trillions being spent on who knows what, perhaps they should spend money to help the LEGAL immigrants!!

So, according to this 2 months in advance you mention, could be better times the upcoming moths once March and April backlog are not stuck anymore?. Regards!

That was my hope throughout the process.  My process was like this, even though it shows in my comments and timeline the best i can put it:
January (sent off and "received")
March (notification by text of NOA-1 but backdated to January received date)
September (RFE notice)
So you see, it took me 9 months roughly in 2021 to see any movement of my case.  But during those 9 months, I watched the date flip back and forth on the USCIS case processing site.  The nice thing was after my RFE was sent back, technically my case was outside of processing time so I was able to leverage that until they approved it.

My interpretation of the movement of dates is when it moves forward and then drops back, that to me is them catching up.  Think of each month as a number for processing.  If March is processed then you have 3's, February are 2's, etc.  For example, imagine this month there are 10 cases in March (3s) that were processed, one in January (1s) and 2 in February (2s).  If you had to average, the "date" would be closer to March, right?  But if there were more cases processed in February than March, the date would be maybe the middle of February.  That is how I see the reason why the date moves around on the USCIS site.  Since it is an average, if 20-30 cases in February were skipped the first time around and USCIS circled back to them this month, then the average for that last processing period would weigh more on February with the 20-30 cases.  I feel like I really went deep but I hope you can decipher this correctly.
*DISCLAIMER* I am not an expert at this, but I am just deducing from watching over the last year.  It could be correct or completely wrong.

One thing I will say though is I would not dive too deep into those processing times.  Just again, pay attention to the date and if it is after your date, put in an out of processing time request.  If you want to watch those dates (and I will admit I did) then do so with caution and keep your emotions in check because if you do not, those numbers will drive you crazy.  Trust me.  I never spoke to Anna about those dates.  I only spoke to her about when I would see people announcing they were receiving RFEs/approvals.  And I would check VJ's timelines more than USCIS case processing time.

Thank you for your words and your advices, I'll follow your advice and I won't permit myself all these changes of dates drive me crazy, especially this last one,  we had on mind we would finally be together not later than August 2022 (our NOA1 is from late August 2021) .  I think this last  change of dates was done to avoid more expedites and more delays as a consequence.  The same as you, I have tried not to stress my fiance with all these changes, I only tell him when there're positive things.  I just hope that in the upcoming months the times will improve and start flowing faster once March cases finish to be processed.  Greetings and thank you so much.

Yeah, this update was long overdue and really shouldn't be seen as a bad thing. As stated here many times before, veteran VJ posters have seen times fluctuate from 3-12 months. Arguably, it's been pushing 12 months for a while now, but March filers have had their best weeks ever this month. While that by no means indicates the 12 month estimate is already too conservative, it does mean that we finally have relatively accurate processing times that are pushing the outer limits of what USCIS is comfortable with for I-129F. There are 250 January/February filers remaining while March filers get approvals. Those are the filers who need attention right now, and the inquiries should be reserved for them. Everything will be alright, and hopefully, some clarity will be provided during the Q&A this week.

If there's one thing for certain, K1 filers are perhaps the most vocal group of people in the entire world, so I'm sure our questions will come up during that session one way or another :)

Right, now the picture looks more accurate with this latest change and it will be easier for us to have a picture when we are going to be with our fiances, hopefully sooner 🤞.  It's true, K1 filers are perhaps the most vocal and united group of people in the entire world which is excellent, we all encourage toeach other.  Everything will be alright and hope all our petitions could be listened. 🤞🤞

By the way, when will be the Q&A session this week?  I'm new here and  signed up recently.

There has been fluctuation in the past (worst 6.5 Months in 2018), but it has have been this bad, now we are looking at 11-12 Months for March/April/May filers, and probably more for all others. (it can be checked here https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/historic-pt ). Also main issue is the size of the backlog that is not decreasing, this will have negative consequences for all other filings (EAD, AOS).

But it is true, we should defiantly complain/be very vocal on the existing issue (complain to USICIS, Congressman, Twitter), to any one, because sadly broad parts of US population have no Idea that this is happening. Sadly stupid "30 day fiancé" TV show is not helping anyone, since it portrays entire process of 129F as some 2-4 Week affair, that can be finished very soon. My biggest annoyance is that the wait for work permit is also getting longer further aggravating issue and causing additional cost.

I didn't know this process is painful and stressful until after I submitted my petition. I think we should just  hope for the best, and keep  checking the status of our case at least once week and not paying too much attention to the fluctuation of the timeline.  Also,  making  sure your fiance(e) understand  what is going on with the case to prevent the frustration between you, after all there is nothing you can do that will change the way things are now (Candide) ....

Not sure if this is the case, I was told that  the backlog is due to COVID-19;   so it should be up to the administration to try to understand our pains by providing  logistic and  manpower to the personnel working at USCIS. I believe with that the process will go a little smoother than it is now.  May God help them understand our pains  and stress. Good luck to all of us

Crazy thing is, that this insanity only exists in USA, acquaintances of mine, have done similar thing for Germany. They were finished in 4-5 Months. And by finished I mean everything, moved to Germany and beneficiary got work permit and already got a job. USCIS is worst agency I have ever seen

And irony is All the dependent visa - meaning spouse of H1, students Visa or any temporary visa can get approval in few weeks or a month. And being the fiancé or fiancée of US citizens - you are the last- not sure what to say here 🤔

Everything is so backwards

Yesss I question the same thing. When I was a student (F1) I brought my (then) wife to the embassy and they asked her a trivia question and we flew out the the US the week after.

Crazy now as a citizen they make us wait for such a long time. And we are paying a lot of taxes, while (no offense 😉) when I was an international student I didn't pay a dime tax 😅
