Hey guys All my documents were accepted I uploaded all on OCt 30 2021. Got a email yesterday that they need my joint Sponsors 2020 tax . All other docs are accepted.
Am I technically DQ? Or do I have to wait till this one more doc is accepted? And how long does it take for NVC to accepted a new doc?

No one can predict how long it will take NVC to review newly uploaded document. Every time you upload a new document after NVC reviews your old documents and ask for any other document technically puts you back in Line of as per newly submitted document date.

Does your income meet the poverty guidelines limits? I don't see the need for a joint sponsor unless your income in your AoS does not meet the criteria established.

If your income is adequate and meets the criteria, you can call NVC to make sure.

But if it does not, then for sure you need a joint sponsor

Did you get an email from NVC that states "Documentarily Qualified"?  There should also be a DQ message in your CEAC inbox.  If not, you are not yet DQ.

Hey I'm the petitioner. I am a USC applied for my wife . My joint sponsor is my dad. Submitted all docs OCT 30 2021. Got email Jan 27 that they wanted the 2020 tax of my joint sponsor , but they were not filed as yet and were not uploaded orignally in oct. So uploaded asked for docs on Feb 1 2022.

Only asked for his 2020 tax. Everything else of me and wife and joint sponsors other docs have been accepted

Most likely that you've got to wait 3 months again - but in some cases people are DQ'd in a few days.

It is normal that everything shows as 'Accepted' except for the new document.

Good luck!

We received a request for an additional document also. When we uploaded the new document, the date of the submission did not change. It stayed Oct 30 which was my original submission date. Is that normal? The status of the document did change from rejected to "submitted" though.

So that is a different scenario than I have experienced. E.g. Mine was a missing document I had to upload, it sounds as though yours is a replacement for a rejected document.

If the document has changed from 'Rejected' to 'Submitted', it sounds as though you are now either at the back of the queue again, or may get reviewed in a shorter time frame.

Crucially, as it has now changed to 'Submitted', it sounds as though you just need to wait now, but you could always phone to discuss with the NVC?

Yea I may call them just to make sure they received it and we just have to wait.
