First, your visa is no longer valid after entry into the US.

 

Second, take a close look at your visa on your passport.  At the bottom, there is a statement to the effect that the visa acts as a temporary I-551 for one year after endorsement.  The endorsement is the stamp and date that CBP place on the page opposite of your visa.

 

If after a year of waiting you do not have your GC, then you do not have proof of LPR status with you.  This is a critical issue.  If you did not receive your GC when approaching the year after entry, then make an emergency infopass appointment at your local USCIS office to get a new I-551 stamp.

 

By the way, did you pay the $220 immigration fee?

your visa has a I 551 endorsement good for a year to work  in lieu of the green card and the privileges of a LPR

the $220 fee refered to in the above is the fee to produce the green card itself

but according to your timeline,  u arrived on December 21st and there is no need to panic 

just wait as it is taking longer these days for green cards to be produced

when it does arrive ,  make sure the info on the card is correct
