Current wait times when resubmitting documents

After waiting 3 months since initially submitting documents, last week we got an update. More information was requested and I submitted within 24 hours. We're now I'm waiting for another update.

We were getting ready to start the process of traveling to another country for the interview (the US embassy in Moscow is not working currently). However with this request for more documents, I'm not sure how long the wait time will be.

Anyone have any idea how long the wait is when adding new documents?

It says our review time was Oct 15th on the site — it didn't update to last week's date. I am hoping it's not another 3-month wait.

Even once you’re DQd, you won’t need to travel.   Could be months after that until they are ready to interview you.

That would be unfortunate if true, but not surprising. It's already been over a year of waiting, thousands of dollars spent, and dozens of hours making sure every step is completed. And not once was I able to speak with a real person to get help — it was all automated. Such a horrible system we're stuck with using.

Anyway, the waiting continues.

- My w2s/1099s from 2020

- A hand signed affidavit. (I had sent a digitally signed copy)

- A full scan of marriage booklet from the country we were married in (I originally sent the pages with info)

Unfortunately these look like required documents and might most likely put you back at the end of the line.

But keep you head above the water, miracles do happen: our I-130 was approved in 70 days and it is complicated

When was your initial submission date and your review date?

Good luck

Sigh. We'll see.

Still no word. Looks like it'll be another 2-3 month long wait just for updating documents! So annoying.

When the error is on NVC review is not as long. Usually members will call NVC to rectify the issue.

The error appears to be on your end so unfortunately you go to the back of the line and the date you submitted the requested evidence is your new submission date.

If you do a search on this site you'll see a lot of people have been in a never ending battle with NVC. Extremely annoying I agree!

Though if you're lucky someone might look at your documents before the 3 months is up and you'll be DQed. The entire process is a mystery and total luck of the draw.

I wouldn't consider it an error on my part. I did everything as requested. The problem is the information wasn't clear in the first place.

Anyway, I feel so helpless and it's been this way for over a year. I'd gladly pay $10k+ to speed up the process and for this to be over.
