Hey guys,

I have got a weird one. LOL. So i am in the process of ROC. Status," Awaiting scheduling of interview". Filed on feb 2021. So almost a year.

My wife who is a US citizen  had her last name changed to my last name in nov 2021. Has anyone had a similar situation ? Do we need to notify USCIS of her name change from the original i-751 or wait until the interview  ?

I repeat again, SHE IS THE US CITIZEN SPOUSE.

I know , it was not smart to change the name in between the process but her passport was expiring and she wanted to get the new passport with name changed.

No issue.  The marriage certificate is considered legal evidence of the name change.

You don't need to do anything. Just have the before & after document with you at interview and update there.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.
