I’ve had my interview October 29th and the officer handed me a 221g letter to send additional docs and he kept my passport. 

December 10th I sent the docs requested and since then the status of my visa still appears as refused on the website but the case was last updated on the 20th of December . Is there any hope that my visa will be issued ? And how long does it take ? Thanks

had to go to your profile to see this is for Morocco 

and no one can tell u how long it will take the embassy to review your documents and security checks and hopefully issue the visa

good news is they kept your passport and that usually means they do not intend to deny

Did u label the additional documents with your case # and name (s) and DOB(s) if this is K1 or CR1

If you're from a high-fraud country, it could be quite a wait before a decision can be made.

This is an F22 visa, I’ve sent the 221g letter that contains my case # along with the docs requested. The status of my visa still appears as refused even tho the update date changed

Refused is what they post instead of AP and does not mean denied
