I130 January 2022 filers for Parents

[ZT2017 8]

for both parents, they were here in the us
I130 applied on Jan 15 th 2022 online

applied for i485 on Feb 6

did biometric March 25

 

got interview call last week on Dec 7 

 

interview is scheduled for Jan 6 

does anyone know what happens at this interview?

whether Interview is mandatory for parents GC applied in US ( I-130 and 485 together). I applied for my parents on 31st Jan2022 and today status updated for I-130 'Case is being Actively reviewed by USCIS'

It depends. Some cases get approved without any interviews(provided I-693 is filed along with I-485).

Any idea how long it will take for SSN generation and Greencard printing?

Congratulations! that was so smooth and fast.

When your application for permanent residency is approved, USCIS will mail you a welcome notice within 30 days. After you receive the welcome notice, you should receive your Green Card in the mail sometime in the next 30 days. Altogether, that means you should receive your Green Card within 60 days of your approval for permanent resident status.

Hello Guys, 

had my parents interviews. Went pretty smooth, She said she will have decision for us soon and literally congratulated us. I came home and the I-130 was approved online for the parents but i485 is still pending. Does anyone know why or what the process is ?

If you applied only for I-130 and got approved, should you do anything before your case transfers to NVC or you just have to wait a letter for NVC?

No, you don't have to do anything. USCIS will transfer your I-130 case to NVC for further processing.

What is the status of your I-130. Does it say, case approved and closed or does it say case sent to NVC?

I filed i485 with i130. parents went to the interview with me. I130 was approved online yesterday but no update on i485.
