I filed i485 with i130. parents went to the interview with me. I130 was approved online yesterday but no update on i485.

Check your  I-130 timeline and see if the latest status is case approved or case closed.

Read in some of the other forums that USCIS has been accidentally sending I-130 cases to NVC and then closing the case abruptly keeping I-485 in pending status.

Well that would be odd. I130 says it has been approved. I485 says interview scheduled even though they had the interview. the case officer literally said I am approving case as I don’t need more documents.

It may take some time for them to update the status. You might want to wait for may be a week or so and if the 485 status still doesn't change, you can contact them directly.

That's a concurrent filing - you file I-130 and I-485 if your parents is already in the US and are adjusting status - so they get a green card that way. They can also file the I-765 (work permit) and I-131 (advance parole) at the same time.

So I got a RFE for my father stating that the fingerprints couldn’t be distinguished and used for him so I have to get police reports for towns cities where he has lived for than 6 months. Would you know the process for this as I’ve never been to a police station and does this include his stay in the USA. He’s been here for 1.5 yrs now.

Correct.

My Mother is in US now. Thinking to apply concurrent filing, I130 with I485 together by mail? Is this option is better than to send I-130 online then I485 by mail later.

If you are filing concurrently, they have to be mailed together.

Hi,

I hope I'm on the right thread.

I filed I130 for my mom in January 21, 2022, NOA is February 9, 2022 and Nebraska for the service center. Status is currently being reviewed since May 15, 2022.

Could someone share a link on the next procedure after we receive a decision from USCIS. Just wanted to prepare ahead of time. Thank you.
