to answer the original question "is Ecuador on the high fraud list?"

this statement is on the US embassy site for Ecuador and that puts the country on the list

Statement on the Use of Fraudulent Diplomatic Identifications
The Embassy is aware of the use of fraudulent diplomatic IDs in Ecuador, falsely representing individuals as being employed by the U.S. Government. The Embassy is also aware of a number of Embassy personnel having been stopped while driving in Quito in recent months; in several of these cases, photographs were taken of their identification, license plates, and automobile.  Concerned by these developments and for the safety and security of U.S. Mission personnel, the Embassy has cooperated from the beginning with the Foreign Ministry and other state entities to ensure that diplomatic credentials and protections are not compromised. The Embassy refers further questions to the appropriate Ecuadorian authorities.

I tried but all airports said no to the turtle and cat when going to Ecuador specifically. I can try again in the future but at this point since I already paid the first 535 plus whatever else I spent on this visa I may as well wait. And do the passport meanwhile.

I was going to suggest driving there, but I remembered reading or watching something about there being no roads connecting Central America to South America due to the terrain.  Per google maps:

I found complaining does not really solve anything.  For your pets, perhaps drive to Panama and charter a flight or go by sea?  For your grandmother, passport application Form DS-11:

Yep, the Darien Gap breaks the Pan American highway between Panama and Colombia.  Of course they could drive down to Panama and look into a boat that would take them to Colombia or elsewhere in SA.

I submitted a K1-Visa case back in August and the first and only update I got in my case was the "we received your case here's your number" notification on the site and in mail. Everyone else who submitted around this time at LEAST got another update. I'm beginning to think I'm being ignored considering how the government feels about minority races (and unfortunately both of us are minority) AND because we aren't a straight couple. Does anyone know what's going on here? I've emailed the Texas building and I'm thinking of spamming the main USCIS email until I get an answer. If they have a number with a live person I'll spam that to.

your case will be processed irrespective of it being, straight, gay or black or brown on white or yellow or 50 shades of brown. it really does not matter what you are, they process based on the order they get application and the documents provided with the application.

so unless you are friends with Joe Biden, please take a seat. you barely have waited even 6 months

duh

though admittedly it still bothers me that they're getting to people who submitted after us before us. You'd think they'd go in order lol. That's another reason I thought they were discriminating.

Welcome to the would of U.S. immigration. You are NOT being discriminated against, it happens to many couples, regardless of their sexual orientation. More often than not, things don't make sense. Nothing about U.S. immigration is fast, easy or inexpensive. Get used to it.

I have seen people bring Animals from S America to the US, wonder what the issue is the other way around.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

In Ecuador just cats and dogs are considered pets. Trying to travel with any other animal would require the person to be registered with the Department of Agriculture.

I didn't expect a response immediately, just one the was within the bracket they gave me. Someone told me they're more backed up then what the website claims, though admittedly it still bothers me that they're getting to people who submitted after us before us. You'd think they'd go in order lol. That's another reason I thought they were discriminating. Especially since we have the Texas building of all buildings. Texas seems to hate everything these days.

Your petition is NOT in Texas.  It is at the California Service Center, where 99% of I-129Fs go for adjudication.  You sent it to a LOCKBOX in Texas, which is a mail sorting and forwarding facility for USCIS.

I-129F petitions are currently taking 8-12 months to be approved.  The approval of petitions is unrelated to the country the beneficiary is from, and entirely related to the very basic requirements for that visa.

Please do yourself a favor, and become educated on this process so that your expectations are more in line with reality.

You are joking/trolling or thanking about August 2020.

Average wait is 10-11 months. There are people Form February 2021 that are just getting approvals.

If current processing rate continues, you are looking at May June for them to start processing August 2021

Driving with pets would be impossible. You'd need special paperwork to get them through every border. If they say no, would your drive all the way back? At least flying non-stop would require only one. Also, turtles are difficult because they are in special lists in some countries because of animal trafficking.

In regard to whether Ecu or anywhere else is high-fraud:  When I was at your stage, I asked a former consular officer about that, and he said, emphasizing every word, "Any poor country."

But you're nowhere near the consular phase yet.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
