Hello, So i just submitted my civil documents on my CEAC account. I noticed that on the application page that there is a case expiration date for April 2022. I believe this is because my passport expires May 2022. I just done understand what this case expiration date means. Does this mean everything needs to be approved by then? I would really love some clarification if anyone has any idea on the matter?

Can you post a screenshot of the case expiration date you are referring to?  (Block out any personal identifying info.)  Immigrant visa case validity does not depend on the passport expiration date.

This is what it looks like. The date is one day before the passport expiration date. I didn't think that was a coincidence.

Ah, that's the DS-260 form expiration date, which is not relevant to visa applicants.  Just ignore that date.

Official forms for info collection are required to have those fields to signify that they are government-approved forms -- https://www.state.gov/key-topics-office-of-directives-management/information-collections/how-to-identify-omb-approved-state-department-information-collections/
