Happy Thursday, everyone!

Amed and I are doing ok. We're busy trying to get everything together to close on our house. It's exciting, but also frustrating. I sent our loan officer some documents via e-mail on Monday, and I've left her a couple of messages and a couple of follow up e-mails to verify she received the docs, and to check on the status of our appraisal, and she hasn't contacted me again. It's irritating, because we can't move forward until we find out the results of the appraisal. We're supposed to close in 2 weeks! GRRR.

Other than that, things are good. It's SOO hot here, though. Amed's not used to this humidity, so I think it's bothering him quite a bit. I'll be glad for a bit of a reprieve from all of this heat.

Hope everyone is having a good week! Congratulations to all of those reuniting this week!

i know what you mean... i'm not muslim, but i always loved sitting on the roof of my family's house and listening to it... it's so peaceful.

in other news, i've had a cell phone for a couple months that has been broken - the flip part of it has snapped off basically and it's hanging on by a couple of wires... last night the screen went blank, so all i can really do is answer calls. but i ordered a new one on monday and get to pick it up from fedex after work today!! :dance::dance:

Doodle - you are going to be BOUNCING off the walls the last day...aren't you?????

I am very excited for you, getting to go see him. I just know how excited I've gotten each time I get ready to go see Hicham.

Don't do anything, I wouldn't do!!!!!! :blush::whistle:

I'm bouncing now but not from joy. I keep watching the terror alert news and this whole "gut" feeling ####### and it just NEVER seems like the right time to tell my mom that I'm going. lol. Then a plane today got diverted from LA. And NOW I can't get hold of my husband. I get this freaky busy signal that I've never gotten before. I"m glued to drudgereport.com and not likin' what I"m seein!!! :blink:

Is it time to start the "I hate to fly so make me feel better by posting allt he worst case scenarios" yet?????? I am trying to come up with doozies for you!

hey everyone! hope your thursdays are going well. i just got off the phone with Geo, he is outside smoking lol cause his brother in law doesnt like hookah in the house..he is sweatin his ####### off and its after midnite! he said 'habibi i cant wait until next wednesday we can sit in our living room and smoke comfortably' i said HECKKK YEAAA lol next wednesday nite we will smoke in OURRRR house!! YIPPPYY!! i dont get in til 1040pm and its a 40min drive from the airport to our house i guess but thats alright.....he went and look for an Abaya for me tonite, the one shop wants 300 SAR, not sure what that is in dollars but i think its around 80 bucks, but it comes with a long scarf....so he may get it before i come. he is looking to get the bedroom and living room furniture moved in tomorrow and he will get pillows and sheets i am taking curtains cause i found nice ones from here........and he wants to get a new tv and dish before i come.

Dae talked to him on the phone tonite and told him he misses and loves him and cant wait to see him next summer. we are planning a trip if everything is calmer in lebanon for next summer during Geo's month vacation, Dae and my sister will be hopefully comin to spend it with us. Dae is so excited about that. But right now he is more excited about going back to school already in Sept, he cant wait to go into first grade! if things arent stable in lebanon then we will find a 3rd country that is stable and we will do the month vacation there with my sister and Dae. awesome.

so i am very thankful that my 'monthly' friend has decided to pop in...she is 2 days late and i started freakin thinking that i would have her to travel with....well nope she should be on her way out monday at the latest......tuesday afternoon at the very very latest!!!!! YAYYY!! i hatteee traveling with 'her'

I saw that post...it will make people who have a fear of flying have even a greater fear.

nah. You missed my last thread when I went there the last time. My theory is that if you have already visualized the worst, then nothing can really phase you. ;)

yeah but ultimately i always have a huge panic attack anyway so why not have some fun. lol

Actually I tried looking for my old thread back in December and I cannot find it so I think it might have gotten squashed. :unsure: Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

I used to watch the Titanic the night before I'd go on a cruise too. lol. I don't know why it was just soothing. I know I know.......stairs don't go all the way up to the attic in MY house. lol
