Hi - Is there anyone experiencing delay in receiving their passport with visa stamp?

I had my interview on 1/15 and per CEAC, my visa was issued on 1/19 but until now, I haven't received my passport back?

Anyone experiencing similar delays?

Thanks!

"Issued" means they handed it over to the courier to be shipped to the destination. Depending on the distance of the address you specified, It can take a couple weeks for your visa & passport to be delivered from that point. You say it was issued on 1/19, which means it's only been like 3 business days since they shipped it.

Really?! Two weeks?!.. In the past, I got my visa after 2-3 business days after my interview.

Is this something new because they changed to LBC.

Depending on your distance from the Embassy was the key phrase there. In any case, they just shipped it 3 business days ago. You might want to at least give it at least a week.

Got it. Hopefully i will get it this week.  I live in Laguna by the way.

By the way, have you heard if someone was able to just pick it up from the Embassy rather than waiting for it to be delivered?

"Issued" actually just means the visa was printed.  It might not be given to the courier the same day if, for example, it was printed after that day's courier pick-up.  The pick-up time is usually late afternoon, so if it missed the pick-up time on the 19th, it might have not been with the courier until late afternoon on the 20th -- about two business days ago.

I should have said it means the Embassy is finished processing it, and it's ready to be shipped. Thanks for clarifying.

if you call the embassy now. their message talks about visa delivery now and mentions an email to follow up.  I managed to get through to them the other day and they said that once it's shipped we will get an email and a text to the number on file at the ustraveldocs website.  It's barely been a few days so just give it a little time.

Interesting that the embassy was conducting interviews on a Saturday.

LBC may not of received the visa package from the embassy until the 21st, with a weekend in the mix  it can be a few days before it is sorted and out for delivery.
