Previously, you were allowed to arrive as spouse because they allowed spouses to get 9a (tourist) visas at embassies.  You were still on a tourist visa.

Effective on the 10th, you or people like you, will not need the 9a from the embassy.  You already applied so you will have it.  I don't think it will make much difference.  It might make a difference on how many days you can stay.

Good luck!  Don't forget to have your quarantine hotel booked ahead of time.

I have read that they will have government quarantine facilities now, I’m not sure about hotels, like before. I’m just hoping after buying an expensive ticket, I will be allowed to board plane and once arriving, will be allowed entry. I’m ok sure now about the quarantine facility, if that only applies to Filipino’s or not. I have heard a few vloggers saying foreigner unvaccinated will not be allowed either after 2/15 though.

I’m not sure about hotels

A friend of mine owns a quarantine hotel here.  I just asked him and he said they don't have to stay open, or close.  By choice.

A certain amount of rooms will be needed for those that need to do the 5 day quarantine.  I would guess that many quarantine hotels will go back to a more normal condition so they can handle the new vaccinated tourists.

Generally speaking, the government quarantine facilities are for sick people or at least those with some symptoms.  They have testing facilities right in the airport, and if an inbound passenger comes in with a fever, bad cough, etc., they can expect to get tested.

Why hurry? She can file K1 fiancee visa and marry after.

Lot's of reason why people prefer the spouse visa.  In this case, the couple hasn't met yet, so no fiancee visa is possible.  "She" is the foreigner, so "SHE" files nothing.

Got my 9a Visa today, which only took 1 week to receive. Am unvaccinated so have to quarantine when I get there next week, hopefully everything goes as planned. The rapid pcr tests are expensive though and am looking for travel insurance and hotel still in Manila.

She is the USC so she will be the one to file.

She also needs to figure out how to meet her foreign partner because without meeting they can't file anything.

Hmm.  I think there are two different couples being discussed here.  The most recent one is an American male going to the Philippines for consummation.

Who knows who the Newbie was posting about?  Didn't quote anybody for context.

Yeah newest couple is already married. But they met already. They could have filed K1 but backlog in Philippines makes CR1 a better option.

Don't think they're rushing anything as they lived together for 2 years before he moved back to the States.

Should probably flag the off topic posts as it is quite confusing.

Hello fellow VJ. Please I need an advice. I and my Girlfriend(USC) haven’t met in person due to the nature of her work (US army). We are planning to meet anytime this year but we don’t know exact date. Is it advisable we both get married through Utah online marriage and wait until we finally meet and then apply for CR-1 or should we leave the online marriage until we meet?

I got married online through Utah too(I'm a Nigerian as well) but it was after my wife's second visit. You should be fine if she's able to visit before you actually file cos if she files before she visits, she'd be giving out free $535.00 to USCIS.

I just got my expedite request approved at USCIS level as well and should be heading to NVC soon. I do hope it works out well for u!

Thanks. But Would I be fine if we get married now, that she have not visited  and file the petition, when she visit, because we’ve not met each other for the first time.

You can get married now no problem, but I-130 is not petitionable until she visits. No one is stopping you from filing, we r only stopping you from getting denied.

I got married through Utah January 5, 2021 my wife visited again October 2021 that same year and we filed the following month November.

Nobody knows whether you'll "be fine" because we don't know the full circumstances and we don't know even if the relationship is genuine on both sides.  Getting a petition approved is the easy part.  Getting the actual visa is where most to the consideration is given to the relationship bona fides.
