Hi,

I am an F1 student and I am working as RA/Ta in the school for 20 hours a week.

My wife has applied for AOS (not a US citizen) and I have received an EAd for about 1.5 years ago.

I maintain my F1 by registering courses etch.

I have left the country last June and came back using EAD card. So, I am a parolee on my I94.

My EAD will expire on February 15th, 2022.

Since I am maintaining my F1 status, can I still work on campus even though my EAD will expire? or do I have to stop working?

Thank you.

You used your EAD to get back to the US instead of the F1? If so, then you are not on F1 status anymore and you are using the EAD/AOS.

I recommend that you make an appointment with the international office at your university and ask them about this, and whether they have to make any changes to the university system/HR. Payment for those on EAD/GC/Citizen works differently than for F1 because of some tax/deductions.

This.

If you used AP to enter the US, you are no longer in F1 status.

Speaking of EAD/AP, did you not file for renewal up to fee months early? Your existing EAD would be auto extended by 180 days if filed for renewal.

Now that you are not maintaining your F1 status, you are not bound by its regulations like taking the required credits or not working outside the university with the EAD. Some schools do provide in-state tuition for ones with pending i485. You may wanna check that as well.
