I was asking, because I didn't know the answer. It's a difficult, stressful, and heartbreaking process to try to navigate for those of us with little to no experience, and who just want to be able to see their loved ones. That is why I asked. Thank you to those that have provided information.

It already was explained in your previous thread that your wife can only visit while her spousal visa is being processed and that the spousal visa is the only legal option for her to move permanently to the US. As the intelligent Crazy Cat said, there are no shortcuts to this and that's part of the sacrifice we all made/make when we decided to get into serious relationships and marriages with non-Americans. I know it sucks your kid will be like 1 year old by the time they can be here permanently with you but again, that was the decision you guys made and now here are some of the consequences. It's very very unlikely you guys will have problems getting the visa; it's really just the wait for the consulate to get to your file that's hard. As noted though, she can try to visit but her entry is also up to CBP plus COVID restrictions. You can also go visit her in Canada, provided COVID restrictions allow you...not sure what their policies are right now. Nobody is guaranteed entry into the US except US citizens. Non-Americans being married to a US citizen does not grant them automatic immigration benefits or preferential treatment when crossing the border.

It would be unusual for her to have issues visiting you and you visiting her.

And she has the advantage of dealing with the Canadian system as far as pregnancy etc is concerned

Have you thought about moving to her?  Canada allows for in country processing. Separation would be much shorter.

I have other children from a previous marriage in the US and have a business that I own/operate here. Our only real option is for her to come here when she can. Thank you though for the thought/option.
