N-400 Delays and how to address

Folks,

New here - wanted to see if I can some inputs.

I had my N-400 filed way back in May/Jun of 2020 with the Chicago office and got my biometrics done by Sep of 2020 and since then has been in an indefnite wait.

I've recently done an online request and am yet to hear back.

 

Any body in similar boat ...or can others guide on the best way forward please?

pre covid

applied 9 /2018

bio in less than 2 weeks in Atlanta

interview in Nashville in June 2019 / that's 9 months later 

 

u applied during covid most offices closed shutdown

and things are really just starting to pick up

hope u soon get an answer to your inquiry and u  hear about an interview 

meantime study the online guides for the civics test

Filed Dec 2020, got USCIS replay - there's no emergency to expedite (Naturalization and adjustment of status cases are rarely expedited by USCIS. Normally, the criteria it must meet is if an expedite of the case merited the interests of the United States Government (such as urgent cases for federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Labor, DHS, or other public safety or national security interests). USCIS officials have explained to me that generally means national security interests.)  And online case showing 1 month of wait until the decision, which is totally fine.
