What questions should we expect at POE when entering with K1? Any tips or advice much appreciated. We have our wedding planned, venue reserved, and everything set, just are a bit anxious about this last step for entering. Thanks!

Entering is usually pretty uneventful.  As @Allaboutwaitingmentioned, there is no standard set of questions, but usually the CBP officer will direct you to secondary, and they may remind you that this stay is only good for 90 days unless you marry the petitioner.

Good Luck!

Thanks all for responses. POE consisted of going to a waiting room for secondary processing where we waited a pretty long time for the agent (who was looking at other files before us) to open the sealed envelope, enter some data, make some stamps, then in the end remind us fiancé has 90 days to marry. Waiting in that room made me a bit nervous, since I thought they would just process her at passport control, but all was ok in the end.

Glad it was hassle free. And congrats on the upcoming wedding!

We were asked in September why we'd left it so long to complete the process since the (cancelled) embassy appointment in 2020, as if it didn't close and the U.S didn't shut its borders. My (then) fiancé was a bit abrupt in his answer and got told off.

I don't expect that to happen to you though. All the best 🙂

The OP has already arrived, as evidenced by a post above yours, which you must have missed.

Its going to be very uneventful because the guys on the border are very unlikely to go against the decision that has been made to give you a k1 by people who have studied your case in detail and interviewed you.

In my case the first officer opened the pack and asked if I understood that I had to get married within 90 days or leave (I replied that I did, and told him our wedding was arranged for 2 weeks time). He then kept my passport and papers and sent me through customs with a card, and they directed me to a waiting room. About 20 minutes later a guy showed up with my passport and I was on my way. Its really nothing to worry about, essentially a formality unless you do or say something idiotic.

I read about a case here on VJ where the visa holder actually said something idiotic.  When asked by the CBP officer about getting married within 90 days, the visa holder said something like, "Maybe or maybe not."  He was turned away at the airport with his K1 visa.

I remember that case, I think it was the fiancee who posted about it?
