Hi. My husband left the country about 3 years ago after 22 years being in USA "iligal" . But not of his fault but immigration officer on his entry in 1997 misspelled his First and last name and noone could ever find him for 22 years . He simply wanished. So when we decided to leave the country and start process for his green card from our country North Macedonia out lawyer found his I94, it was  such a miracle. But anyways we left USA and started the process from Macedonia. In a meantime Corona has started and instead of 2 years processing time we god stock in a middle.

The latest step was right after Xmas when the lawyer sent our application to NVC. Now I'm wondering ih anyone guys  know processing time to the interview?

Thank you.

Tamara

If I am reading your post correctly, he was in the US illegally for 22 years, then left 3 years ago.  If so, I suspect the CO will explain that he needs a waiver to enter the US.  Good luck.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Yes , I will be the waiver. But until we get there it has been talking us forever 🤣

That's why I'm wondering if anyone knows processing time for the interview first?

After that he will be denied and then he needs a waiver.

Thx for you answer.

You might check the "immigration timelines" here and the regional forum for that part of the world.  You might be able to get an idea there.

its going to take anywhere from 18 months to 2 years to get to an interview

at interview,  u will be told u need to pay for and apply for the  waiver

and after u apply for that,  its going to take 4 to 6 months (or longer) to act on the waiver

Read the above site to understand the waiver

The waivers I have seen recently have been longer than 6 months, what it will be in 2 years I do not know.
