Yes. Interview Dec 9. No visa update at all. I did receive replies from thy Sydney staff confirming all my documents were received and what normally takes 15 days to issue a visa is taking longer due to covid.

I wonder if they take long enough we’ll need a new medical.

I emailed them asking if the medical docs were received and got a generic canned "we won't confirm or deny the receipt of documents", but that when they got documents they could take up to 3 days to be security scanned and given to the consulate. After that, it goes to an officer for review. "Generally, it will take thirty (30) business days to print your visa and prepare your document package after the consular officer has reviewed and adjudicated a case."

That sounds insanely long to me...our docs were received Jan 7 so it could be until Feb 18 for 30 business days...

He was told in Melbourne at the interview that they'd approve it "as soon as they had medical" but this isn't looking great...

Yeah they confirmed receipt of docs for me January 6 (but they got there in December). I just didn’t email them until January 6. We are in the same boat. 30 days is a long time that a lot can happen. We have to take account both public holidays in the US and AUS too. They said they wish they can give me a definitive timeframe but afraid they can’t.

Hi all,

CEAC has been displaying this status ("refused") since January 4th of this year:

It says refused because my medical took place after the interview. At the interview the consular officer told me everything looked great and that the visa would be issued if my medical came back okay (which it did).

The "case last updated" field, however, has been changing ever since the 4th, showing an updated date every couple of days. Anyone know what might prompt case updates without a status change? Anyone aware of some place where one can see what exactly was updated?

Thanks!
