Is there any January 2021 applicant still waiting for interview notification? I noticed February applicants are receiving the notification now. I am 1/29/21 applicant, still waiting for interview notification.

So far, I have seen a single FEB2021 applicant who applied on 01FEB2021, literally the first day of FEB2021, get an interview notice.

Nobody but the USCIS staff know the exact process for sending out interviews but what is clear is they don't work in perfect linear order. They seem to have a rolling block of ± a couple weeks which are the cases they are working on now and sending out interview notices. How they choose who to send an interview notice and when to send it within that block is a mystery because it is not linear. You are only a few days away from the FEB2021 applicant, so would be well within this block. You likely will receive your invite notice within the next month.

Do note that more complex cases and less common cases tend to take longer, so this rolling block concept doesn't apply. There are also other cases that don't get an invite within this block and there is zero clue why.

Does Seattle office still offers same day oath ? And for afternoon interviews? Thanks

Congrats! Based on the timelines on here, Seattle is doing same day oath ceremonies. Per a couple of reports from earlier this year, the officers were administering the oath right in their office after the interview.

Thank you. I heard that if the interview time is before noon, then same day oath is offered. Not sure about that though. Since our interviews are scheduled at afternoon, I was wondering about it.

Wonder when would these guys step on the gas for N400 interviews . They are top 3 slowest offices of the country.

I got my I-751 and N-400 interview as a dual interview.
My wife and I entered the interview office and 2 officers were there..One for the ROC and one for the Citizenship.

The oath happened immediately after the interviews and approval in the same office.

It was a long journey but finally I am a US Citizen. The sword of Damocles above my head is now gone. I feel a heavy weight lifted finally.

The officers were very nice and one of them is a Marvel/Back to the Future fan and has movie items on his wall. License plate from Back to the Future. Nameplate of the lawyers in Daredevil. So we had a nice chat about the movies and Marvel shows. He also has a picture of Grogu.

I hope that all of you will have a smooth interview as well and if ROC has not approved yet..expect dual interview.

Our interview is scheduled at Seattle Office on June 1st. The interview time is same for both of us. We don't have daycare for our 3 years old. Does anyone know if we can take our kid inside, and can they be present during the interview?

I think children are allowed in interviews as long they are silent and well behaved. Also most day cares accept children for one day also on payment basis. Your best option is to leave your child at a day care as opposed to having a kid running around while you are both trying to focus on your interviews.

My child hasn't been to daycare yet. Now that I'm trying to find one, there's a waitlist of more than a year! I guess I'll have to take the kid inside. Based on some experiences I read online, we can definitely bring her to the waiting room. But not sure, what would happen if both of us are called at the same time.

Has anyone else est completion date disappeared this morning?

is it just a system reset or any specific reason?

Ours disappeared as of this morning as well. We just checked yesterday and it was there then. No idea why it's not there now.

For all Oct-Dec 2020 and early 2021 applicants that got interview date, did you apply as a spouse of US citizen? My application date is 12/13/2020 and still havent heard anything. The estimated date of completion on USCIS account says 2 more days but i doubt that is accurate. My application is naturlization 5 years of GC.

Also, did the interview notification show up in the USCIS online portal? I dont trust USPS to deliver mail correctly and on time one bit, have had bad experiences in the past. I had not seen any forums yet but now seeing that people from 2021 already got interview notifications is worrying to say the least.

FYI, USCIS seems to have changed the way it is reporting processing times here. Until now, the processing times on this page were always a range. The lower bound of this range corresponded to the median and the upper bound corresponded to the 93rd percentile, as explained here. In other words, a range of 17-22 months would have meant that 50% of cases were completed within 17 months after filing, 93% of cases were completed within 22 months after filing, and that, even at 22 months post filing, 7% of cases were still to be processed. The page now appears to show a single number that corresponds to the 80th percentile. For Seattle, as of this morning, the number is 18.5 months, i.e. 80% of cases are completed within 18.5 months post filing (and, by corollary, even at 18.5 months post filing, 20% of cases still remain to be processed).

Separately, I also want to point out that, based on the (admittedly very limited) data points we have on this forum, here and on the tracker

  • At least some people are beginning to receive their convocation ~15 months post filing + have their interview ~16-17 months post filing.
  • The trend in the Seattle office is positive. See columns N and O in the tracker (Days to interview notice and Days to interview respectively), and how (with a few exceptions) those numbers have been coming down over the last few lines that are highlighted in green.
