Just checked my account and see there's an interview scheduled dated today (haven't yet received email or text notifications) for August 4th.

That's an 11 month turnaround.

5 year stream

Wow! They still seem to be accelerating!

Oath Ceremony - done.

Applied : 12/2020

Interview : May 2022

The increase in the number of people being processed per day is visible at the Tukwila center. There was a 20 minute traffic jam to get into the parking lot. Significantly high number of people took oath today. Later applied for passport

Tip for passport: Ideally have a USPS Post appointment near your home. If for some reason, that hasn't happened, any of the Seattle Customer Service Centers take walk ins for accepting applications. I had called earlier to seek an appointment and they said they don't do appointments at all.

Above link gives you locations that accept walk in passport applications.

Thanks all for the journey here. Wonderful feeling to be a part this community & sharing of experiences was really helpful to shine a light on the roadmap & timelines

Good Luck to all in your journey.

So according to the spreadsheet, people who filed in July 2021 are getting their interviews scheduled for July this year. That means the wait time has reduced to about a year!

Do you all think the wait time will continue to reduce? I'm trying to figure out the rate of reduction... if June/July 21 filers are being scheduled in July 22, maybe Aug/Sept 21 will be in August 22, Oct/Nov 21 in September 22, and Dec 21/Jan 22 by October 22. That's assuming they do two months' worth of cases every month -- probably too ambitious.

Their own cycle time goals state that in October 2023 they must have pending cases no earlier than May 2023. To bridge the one year pending to six month pending will take a tremendous amount of acceleration which means more cases dispositioned than filed . I see that in other FOs but but not in Seattle so far. Lets see what the 2022 data says when it comes out.

The fact that an August 2021 filer has gotten an interview scheduled makes me hopeful that all of the 2021 filers will be scheduled by the end of this year at the latest.

I think it is very possible, if not likely. This timing has us receiving the interview notice about 9.5 months after filing and the interview will be almost exactly 11 months from filing. It is very clear that the Seattle site is actually making some progress on their backlog. Consider that in January of this year it was taking around 15.5 months to receive an interview notice and 16.5 months to have the interview. If they keep accelerating like this, I think they may actually be able to hit that 6 month target processing time.

Many congratulations !! Interestingly there is no one filer with an Oct filing date in the tracker . Sept is followed by a light Nov and then a heavy December. Can the number of filers be really light in October 21 ?  Wishful thinking .🤞😀

It's good to know somebody else is also staring at and analyzing that google spreadsheet, not just me 😂

I hope the two Nov filers are active on the sub, otherwise we're gonna have to wait until the Dec filers start hearing back. Arnab, I filed 2.5 weeks after you, so it looks like you and I are gonna be on this journey together!
