Looks like they have picked someone with PD of 07/23/2021. They have a cycle time target of no more than 6 month pf pending inventory by Oct 2023 ( i.e earliest case must be no more than May 2023) . They are still trending at 11 months if current data is anything to go by.  This compared with other West Coast offices which normally schedule interviews in 3 to 4 months.

I would love to see a calculation of equated month over month acceleration that would be needed if they are to meet the 6 month inventory target in October 2023. Anyone ? 🤓

Have been lurking here for past few weeks to seek some answers for logistics questions I had. This might help those with similar questions.

Had my interview on June 6th. (I had applied on Dec 24 2020).

You can *take* phone/backpack/water inside the building. Security is less stringent than airport security.

I ubered to Tukwila ASC - find better than driving as you can relax.

You can get into the building 30 mins before the scheduled time. Mine was at 9:45, so I was in at 9:15. There will be line inside (after security) of those waiting to get checked in - it takes 4-5 mins per person to check in. So better get in the line 30 mins prior to interview.

Once I was checked-in, I had to barely wait for 5-10 mins before I was called for interview with an officer. So dont think of going to restroom after you check in.

You will be ushered into a office cubicle where you are asked to put all your stuff except passport, GC, and ID.

Interview was remote video call on iPad. (These cubicles are closely packed - so you can hear other interviewees!)

Officer was chatty and friendly - but the system she was working on was very slow. Most of interview time was spent on she navigating her system.

I have had GC for more  than 14 years, but have stayed and traveled a lot outside the US during that period - so most of the application questions were around that (length of stays etc).

Civics test was a breeze:

Name one US territory.

who becomes president if both president and VP are unable to serve?

who is first president?

what did martin luther king jr do?

How many senators do we have?

I dont remember the 6th question.

was asked to read a sentence displayed on the tabled: "what do we have to pay to the US government"?

She then asked me to write: "We pay taxes"

I passed.

You get a "receipt" saying you passed. My Oath ceremony was not scheduled the same day though because of "system" issues. It will be scheduled in next 30 days. Curiously, the lady in next cubicle had her interview scheduled the same day. So not sure why mine was schedule for future. Anyone recently had this experience?

good luck!

@Ash2022 I am in the same boat re: "

I have extended stays (multiple trips < 6 months) recently. Could you elaborate on questions and what the interviewer was looking for? Did they express any concerns?

@PedroDaGr8 I have been tracking here. Could you share a link to the spreadsheet you've been tracking (sounds like its more updated).

Thanks all! Hope Seattle moves along at this new faster clip.

Cannot speculate what she was lookin for - but my guess it was to check if any of my stays was longer than 6 months, and that too *only* over 5 years prior to the date of application. My longest stay over those years was 2 months, and I had more than 20 trips during that time as well! She didn't express any concern except saying "what do we have here, a traveler!" not in disapproving tone.

In years preceding last 5 years, I have lived outside the US for more than 5 years with gaps between the visits to the US longer than a year (I had re-entry permits). None of this was an issue.

As long as you establish 5 year continuous residence prior to date of application, you will be fine.

Thanks for this. I'm up at 2.10 so will likely not get a same-day oath then. Do please keep us posted once you hear back on when your oath is - i.e. how much after the interview you are invited back for it. Thanks.

So, my interview was on 5/20 afternoon. Biometrics could not be approved before cut off time , hence I was told that Oath ceremony will be scheduled at a later date.

I got the notice today that the ceremony will be held on 6/24.

While these timelines can vary, ballpark safe to assume that the oath ceremony, if not done on the same day,  will take a little more than a month after interview.

Good luck to all

This post shows that while the Seattle FO is indeed processing cases from 06/21 it has a got a very long tail extending upto 12/20 . So the processing is highly varied and this makes me worried on absolute progress on case processing acceleration .

Applied in Dec 2020

Biometrics waived

Interview on June 8 2022

Oath on June 24 2022

I had my interview on June 8. Was hoping to get same day oath but my biometrics had to be refreshed. They told me to wait 30 mins after my interview to see if they could squeeze me in (very nice of them) but no luck.

2 days later June 10, I saw my online uscis account was updated and it oath ceremony is scheduled for June 24 11am! I guess I'm still a little lucky because it's only 2 weeks away and thankfully on a Friday.

My interview was a cake. I totally over prepared (which I would still do again). I arrived 30 mins before my interview. Went in the building 15 mins before. I read that they wouldn't let people in long than 15 mins but they didn't even check my interview time. I recommend just trying to get in because it took me 20 mins to get through that slog of a line to get processed. I had to wait only 5 mins in the waiting room which was nice.  The interview was virtual. The headsets aren't so good so don't be shy to tell the interviewer if you have a hard time hearing them. My interview lasted a total of 10 mins. Interviewer literally just said hi and started asking civics test questions. We rolled through all the other questions quickly and at the end I was told I would be recommended for approval. The officer informed me that they could not schedule my oath on the spot because my biometrics had to be refreshed. The officer said they will do their best to process it within the next 30-45 mins so I could do my oath taking on the same day. As mentioned it didn't work out but happy that I now have a date and can complete this journey.

Congratulations on getting your oath scheduled. I had my interview today. I passed the test. But the officer said that she was taking my interview from home. My files are in her office and doesn’t have access to my files from home. She won’t be able to approve me yet without reviewing the files, hence I have ‘passed’ box checked , but also ‘no decision can me made yet’ box checked. I asked her how long it might take to review the files. She said a month or less. Did you receive ‘No decision can me made’ box checked too or ‘ congratulation….. ‘ box checked? Thanks

I have only "congratulation...." box checked. "no decision can be made yet" box is unchecked.

I appeared for my N400 virtual  interview in Seattle center on 6/10. I passed English and Civic test, but the officer said that she was taking my interview from home. My files are in her office and doesn’t have access to my files from home. She said that she will need  to review  the files once she is in office . Until then she won’t be able to approve the case. Hence I have ‘passed’ box checked , but also ‘no decision can be made yet’ box checked. She mentioned that approximately a month might take for me to receive the decision. Has anyone have a recent experience similar to mine? If so, could you please let me know how long it took to receive the decision? Thanks
