Ok people something waaaaaaay off topic here.......As I was dreaming about my future with my other half, I started looking into the requirements to apply for the AED and the Advance parole, in my serach I noticed that USCIS has an efiling option for both the I-765(AED) and the I-131 (advance Parole), but the only one it doesn't have is the AOS I-485,

Also another thing is you have to register again, even though you are registered to recieve updates about the status of your I-129F, for some reason you have to put in your info again to fill out these forms........

Anyways i did a mock application and the very first question it asks you is "have you already submitted an I-485 application?" so I'm assuming that you have to send that in before you fill out the app.

So, the point of this post is: what do you guys think? do you think it'll be quicker to file online for these apps? or should I just do it the traditional way using snail mail?

According to the website, efiling is considered an efficient and quick when it comes to processing...

just wanted your opinions, suggestions, etc

-Mich ;)

I check every day :/

We haven't bought our rings yet - I don't trut my OH - at least not where he is living which, let us just say, is less than sanitary but not his fault :)

You'll be fine with May - trust me - if I was getting married in May... ok - I'd be the same at you... but from where I am standing right now a May wedding looks much more sensible than my February one!!!

Yay! Wedding fayre tomorrow here: http://www.four-pillars.co.uk/Tortworth/home.html

Potentially one of our UK wedding venues for the party thing back home :D

Every day I say I won't check....and I do. P teases me about it when I say "well, still haven't been touched."

My anticipated date here on VJ has even moved up from 12/12 to 12/18 in just a couple of days. So I've officially given up with the looking. Screw it.

We're waiting to find out about the German church wedding thing. Thank God Tuscon Girl told me about the waiver thing that's needed or we would have naively set everything up assuming that it wouldn't matter.

I know why we put up with all of this, because in the end it will be worth it. But....sigh.

Gratz on the rings, debz!!!

And Jeraly, I'm saying a prayer that everything goes smoothly for your Feb wedding.

WOndering if USCIS's computers from 70's-80s able to handle efile applications? For most things in normal nongovt. world, efiling is more efficient. I just did a whole bunch of efiling for licenses etc and things move more quickly. Best to ask ppl who have efiled with USCIS. The one advantage is that it would be quicke getting to them rather than via by mail. After that is upto how they handle it.

I know it's premature, but I was reviewing I 134. For those of you going through London Consulate here's the link for what they are looking- "documents for I 134"http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/iv/faffidavit.html#affidavit_of_support

If u use tax returns the want it notarized. The rest is about the same as what's written on the application.

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Yeah I got that too :/

Indeed fingers crossed for the Feb wedding but at least we have a loophole to work - my mum just said to not tell my gran!!! It's all very exciting though and if we do have to have a non-legal Feb wedding at least the wait afterwards won't be so painful :D I can sit back and just wait for the approval date to slide and not worry about it too much :) Ohhh that would be bliss!!

well, since you've got a Plan B that will work, why don't you just do that now? you know it will work out one way or the other, so why not relax? ;)

Because I don't do relaxing! It's ok that we have a plan B but I still worry about things like what happens if I don't get through immigration and my entire family are there for my wedding but I'm not?! That's the biggest worry I have really but I just have to try and play things by the book :) Bring my evidence I am applying for K-1 and therefore am not going to breach conditions, show evidence tying me to this country etc...

hmm, yes; I hadn't thought of that particular factor... I can see how that would be stressful

if that happens, perhaps you could bring them all to the airport and have the ceremony right there in immigration ;)

I think if I were to do that they would never let me in the country again!!!

I am considering going through Dublin though - apparently that is supposed to be easier? I just don't know all the ins and outs...

Going to wedding fayre now then going to come home and try and get my police check sorted out :)
