ATTENTION JULY FILERS!

You just don't know how true what you're talking about really is..... for those of you that are getting married and moving...... the adjustments will be many. When I married my ex, I moved to another state (which is NOTHING in comparison), started a new job (after being at my job 17 years), and my daughter graduated from high school within 3 months. My head was spinning and I missed my family and friends like crazy. It was an unbelievable adjustment! I pray this will help me be much more sympathetic to my fiance's adjustment than I might have been prior to having gone through all of that.

I hope my OH will be as supportive! We have talked about all the changes and as I don't cope with any sort of change well (I cried when I got home from work today as it took me over an hour to travel three miles:/) he is preparing for the worst! Luckily though because I am aware of how I may feel I feel I can prepare myself better for it all :)

Got to keep the spreadsheet alive, from next month now, july filers should be getting good news on NOA2 I hope.

Good luck everyone [/color]

somehow you seem to have omitted us

PM WeeDebz and she will add you to the July Filers Spreadsheet. You can also access the link from her signature or just bookmark it :)

Don't worry about being omitted on the list that has reared its ugly head again - it is totally out of date and the one I have just posted here is much more up to date :)

Haha!! I know - but isn't a part of you scared!? I think I want it now then I suddenly realise that while I am in this visa process bubble the wedding and move seem a lot further off - take away the visa process and suddenly you have two massive life changes in one foul swoop!!! I still think I am in a daze about it all :D I can't believe I am actually doing it - this is the sort of thing you always see other people doing!

You are so right. I am often so engrossed in missing him, worrying about NOA1's, reading the tragic stories on here and worrying over the slim possibility of a visa denial that I forget about what will actually happen at some point next year. Then suddenly it hits me that my life is about to change considerably. That both excites me and scares me.

I think the scary part will subside though once the process is complete and you've gone through immigration with your K1 in hand. I'm sure it will take a while to adjust into everyday life once married but the best part is that you'll finally be permanently with the person you want to spend the rest of your life with.

Not many people face as much anxiety and work as hard for a relationship as us immigrants :P

I am so so glad it isn't just me that feels like that - you work so hard to get through it all and sometimes it's as though you're going through the motions and lose track of what it really is you're working towards!! Then all of a sudden reality kicks in again and it's like "Wholly $***!". Very reassuring to know I am not alone :D

somehow you seem to have omitted us

PLEASE folks, PLEASE do NOT try to keep this antiquated list going!!! If you are new and want to see how you compare to other VJ July filers, please send a PM to weedebz. She is the keeper of the July database, which you can find a link on her signature for and review what has happened to date. Not much I assure you, but our Scottish lass is superb with keeping it up to date and will gladly enter your infor if you send her a Private Message (PM).

Thanks julezabelle - was beginning to think we would see the million mile long pages we had before with repeated incorrect lists!!!

I haven't got a "Touch" on my petition since I got my NOA1 and I did signed up for email notification whenever an a petition is visited, so fellows whats going on? I see a few people here were getting "Touched" on their petitons since submission. :help:

The first thing you must realize is that your petition sits in a box until an adjudicator starts to work on it. If everything is OK, you will have your approval 15 minutes later without a touch ever being registered or the approval following so closely that you never see the touch on the website.

On the other hand, if your petition gets taken out of the box and then is set aside without a decision you will see a touch.

The reason you see some people with touches is usually because they have called USCIS and had a discussion about their case. When this happens a touch is registered but it does not indicate that there has been any adjudication activity on the petition.

As far as I know they do not send email notifications of touches.

There are probably occasional exceptions to the above, but they are not frequent. There is no reason to be concerned about touches at this point. It will unfortunately be a long time before July petitions start coming out of their boxes.

ok I've missed out on nearly a day here. Think I'm caught up on happenings!

Ended up in casualty today, got a bad scald to my left hand at work. Got minor nerve damage. They have frozen my left hand with a few shots and i have anaesthetic ointment to use for 3days. Currently it feels as if my hand belongs to someone else as totally numb! Probably good thing as apparently the first few days without this stuff is agony! Was kinda lucky in that the nearest hospital to my work has scotlands best burns unit! Should make full recovery but gonna take a couple of weeks for it to heal properly and until nerves recover I'm going to have constant pins and needles which could take 4-6 weeks.

Getting good at one handed typing!!! So I'm still here but for a few days my posts going to be limited!

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

USCIS just published some new information about receipting delays. I have not read it yet but at first glance it looks like their attempt to keep customers informed.

USCIS just published some new information about receipting delays. I have not read it yet but at first glance it looks like their attempt to keep customers informed.

OK I read it. It is does not contain the revelations I was hoping to see, but these are what I consider to be the key points that relate to us:

  1. It is good to see them at least trying to communicate better. :)
  2. Since this new information deals almost exclusively with receipting delays, we are still left guessing about the current situation on adjudications. :(
Good news: "USCIS is realigning its resources to eliminate the receipt delay as quickly as possible. This effort includes increasing the number of contract employees, as well as requiring significant mandatory overtime and shift work. USCIS also has temporarily detailed Government staff to centers that have been affected the most by the large influx of cases."

Bad news for K1 & K3 petitions, but maybe good news for those applying for AOS? : ¨The Application to Adjust Status (I-485) will have first priority because USCIS needs to ensure that these applications are receipted in a timeframe that would allow processing of an application for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) within 90 days of filing as mandated by law [8 CFR 247a.13(d)]. Our second priority will be to receipt the Application for Naturalization (N-400) so that we can minimize any delays in obtaining citizenship. USCIS is working to ensure all Applications for Adjustment of Status (I-485) are receipted and any accompanying applications for employment authorization documents (EADs) are processed within 90 days. USCIS is realigning its resources to meet this deadline.¨

This is a good link for those who are still waiting for their NOA1´s.

I also posted this in the VSC K1/K3 forum so if you saw it there please forgive the double post. I thought it would be a good idea to post it here also since the CSC members won´t see the other post.
