hello everyone,

It seems we are all down a little bit :crying:

does anyone have a good news to share so we could share some joy .....

days seems like month and months like years while waiting, i keep thinking one day.......... one day it will be your turn.... usually when I'm down my dear one bring me up, and when it is him I do the same, but today we were both on skype missing each other so much it was hard to talk without a tear....

Tomorrow will be better , come on USCIS give us hope , GET BACK TO WORK!!!! :girlwerewolf2xn:

You know I have imagined a million times and played it in my head what it will be like when I am at the airport to receive him when he finally gets here :luv:

I know exactly what you're talking about .... Just like thinking about that time when i will say "I do" knowing that we are finally there bring emotion.... well I just sees that the late May fillers have received some NOA2 ( one of them was 30/05/2007) so it is a good news we are getting closer. My fiancé and I are hoping for a weeding in March or April....

"Patience is a virtue seldom found in woman never found in man", unless your chinese then its just normal. Dont worry guys I know it it feels horrid now, but we will get there, and take strength in that this will make your love stronger, more secure, more real. Its just a road bump in life, nothing more. Remember Nelson Mandella had to wait 25 years to be with his wife again, so we are looking at no time really, dont look at the clock, look at how you can be ready to be the best spouse for your love.

Jeraly, will you really cancel your K1? I've been thinking about what I'll do if I don't have the K1 by the wedding (May 31st), but I figured I would have a "fake" wedding, and then legalise it ASAP. Surely you will then have to wait another 6 months for the K3, or am I missing something?

Congrats! I hope it was a good touch! Ur a USCIS virgin no longer.

Did anyone read the thread by whitteds? IT's regarding the inside scoop of USCIS delays. Unbelievable...anyhow, we don't really know the whole story. Still, it's frustrating while we are sitting here patiently waiting, putting everything on hold. I wonder what the legal implications of this against USCIS will be.

in any case, July filers: I think we should all take heart from the fact that there is now an August Filers AND a September Filers thread in here; we're old hands now B)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

I'm not sure how to go about doing the "fake" wedding thing... although it does sound preferable to cancelling the K-1 and having to start over with the K-3... What would I have to do/not do? I don't want to breach the visa conditions and get screwed yet entering the US and going through immigration to get "married" but do it without them questioning me will be weird.. I just don't understand how it all works... any info will be welcomed though :)

Gratzies!!!! Oooooh - I am so jealous!! But at least it means there is hope for us if we are beginning to see movement :D Here's to more touches all round!!

hi guys!

we tried to pull all kind of strings possible to do the fake-wedding (ceremony in a church only, without any legal strings attached) in germany this december.

a few facts:

you can do a "real" church ceremony in all countries where church and state are seperated. the state doesn't get to know whether you are married or not, and you are good. in Germany, Austria and France for example you ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE A CHURCH WEDDING WITHOUT A LEGAL WEDDING BEFOREHAND!

in germany, england, austria and france this DOES NOT WORK. it works in the US though, because there you can legalize your wedding whenever you want to do so!

@ jeraly:

first: try to do the math: NAO 2 on december 5th would mean that the embassy in London (or whereever) receives it Jan 5th latest. If you have your paperwork ready to send it to them the day you receive Pack3, you should be fine! if not, you could theoretically fly to the US and have a church-only ceremony, but you could run into trouble at the POE...

Yeah I know it is still possible but we are cutting it so fine that we are literally going to have to make decisions very quickly so I just want all the info beforehand so we can make the best decision based on that :)

I read in another thread somewhere that I can go through US immigration in Ireland which might be a possibility but also if I have ties to the UK to show I am going to return and don't mention my non-legal wedding I should be ok?!

We're having a religious ceremony in Germany before the legal wedding in the States. You are allowed to have a church wedding in Germany, it just won't be legally recognized there, which is what we want anyway so that we don't break any US Immigration laws. In the US if you have a church wedding you must have a wedding license and it must be signed by the minister and the papers filed, so it WILL be considered a legal ceremony.

We're having a civil ceremony outside - no churches involved! If we don't get a license or sign the register then will that be ok?

wow! I'm kinda curious how you guys made that happen! our priest is currently filing a serious-hardship-thingy with the chief-priest to hopefully make that happen for us, too. otherways they could only do a "blessing", but not the real wedding ceremony. sucks big time. what church are you at?

we will get to know if we can have the church-wedding at christmas hopefully next week....

WOW, TAKE A BREATH, REMEMBER YOU HAVE TO DO AOS AFTER YOU MARRY IN THE USA, AND THAT MUST BE AFTER THEY GET HERE WITH THE K-1, IF YOU DO A WEDDING IN YOUR STATE OR IN ANOTHER COUNTRY YOU ARE MARRIED, THEREFORE MARRIED ( NOT THEN K-1) ,YOU COULD END WITH DENIAL OF AOS, THEN THEY WILL HAVE TO RETURN.
