I think we received our 1st “Touch” today as well. When I open "My Portfolio" on the USCIS website today's date is reflected under the "Last Updated" section. From everything I read this is consider a "Touch" is that correct? I assumed that we would receive an e-mail notification each time our case is reviewed, but I just learned that is not the case. We will only receive e-mail notifications if the status of the case changes… is that correct? Any help any of you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

that is definitely a touch my friend...as for the emails, im not sure...i havent recieved any emails, but my only touch was when my check was cashed...so i couldnt really say =/

Thanks for the info! Wow, I am really happy that we have received our 1st touch soon. I never thought I woould see the day when I would look so forward to getting "Touched" by the government. LOL!!!

hahaha i know its quite the silly term...when i first found this site, i thought it meant that the couple had visited with one another and were actually able to 'touch' one another...what a sicko, ey? lol what can ya do

Ok everyone this might be a little off topic but, I send a money order, which I bought at the post office. I'd like to know if there is any way to track if the money order has been cashed. is there a website? so I have to call the post office I bought the money order at? thanks for you help!

I don't think there is - we sent a money order too (would have preferred cheque but OH doesn't have cheque book ) and I think we just have to wait for the Hard copy of our NOA1 to show up in the mail... Of course, being from the UK I may be entirely wrong so...

I unfortunately bought a money order from the Post Office too. These canNOT be tracked/traced at all. It's crazy to know that buying a money order from the government can't be traced, but I can buy a money order from freaking 711 and trace it the next day via the internet! What a joke.

Just gotta sit and wait for the NOA1 in the mail:( I'm waiting with ya my friend.

Check this out...... I have been really nervous and anxious since mailing off our petition, probably no more so than everyone else but overly so for me. My fiance went to an all night vigil at his church last night (his time). He's been going for the last 3 Friday's because he says we need prayers (which we do). I talked to him before I went to bed last night and he was in such a good mood and he said "please stop worrying, everything is going to be ok". I said "how can you be sure" and he said "because the man of God said so". So anyway..... I go to sleep and I wake up at 5:00 a.m. my time which is very odd for a Saturday morning and I come straight to my computer (which I NEVER do) and log on to my bank and.... our check cleared last night!!!!! I am so relieved and so excited! I am forever amazed at how things work when I allow God to work!

If you have the receipt from the money order you can call their 800 # to find out the status. Some have websites, but more likely to get a toll free #.
