Drowning in wedding plans. It's so hard when everything you trying to organise is 5000 miles away and you are not totally familiar with the place. Nick's mammy and eldest sister (maid of honour) are gonna have some serious running around to do!!!!

Although saying that at least you can trust his family to do their fair share of running around! As soon as Jeremy's mom suggested her friend make another bridesmaid dress for his sister based on a photo of the actual dresses I am going to buy I decided that I wasn't going to let her get anywhere near the wedding plans. No matter how sweet she is

I've used the "RFE trick" twice and I've gotten 4 touches(my file is a #######) .........nothing has changed but at least I know that it's there. The USCIS rep always tells me it's pending....

we're in the same boat, people already have churches booked and banquet halls reserved and I don't know when my date is!! I know it'll be sometime in May (or early June) but still I have this inmense fear of planning everything and then in the end having to postpone.

Ok - all this talk of touching has planted the seed of touchiness in my head and all I want now is some kind of progress!! This is just a rant really as I know it's not been that long in terms of K-1 standards but where I used to check the USCIS website once a day, now I am checking whenever I have a spike of impatience which is becoming more and more frequent.

Obviously most here are in the same situation so how is everyone stopping themselves from going insane? I already live on this forum in work at the moment!!

I can't even get on this page from work, need to wait til I get home! I currently check USCIS status say every 2-3 days. Last week I managed to go 4 whole days. Believe me this has nothing to do with me having saintly patience, I'm anything but patient. It's basically due to the fact I'm obsessing over wedding plans. It's done me good to have something else to stress, obsess and worry about. I keep getting asked how progress coming along and I usually just reply with.."it's not". Here's something.....I've not even told all my friends here that I'm getting married. Leaving it to the last moment as I don't want them throwing a wobbly that I'm not having it here, trust me, some of them will be most annoyed that I'm not doing it here and doing the full celtic thing like they all do.

Have I just been "touched"? Last time I checked on USCIS the "Last Updated" date showing on the "Portfolio" page was 8/24/2007 and the detail showed

"On August 22, 2007, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)"

Well... I just checked again (because of the above posts) and the "Last Updaged" date shows 8/30/2007 but the detail still shows "On August 22, 2007, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E),"

yes, it was probably noted in your file that the NOA1 was sent. we had a touch with a day or so of our NOA1.
