Wow I can't believe how cheap your whole wedding is. Normally the wedding planner alone and the food is a lot more. I did an internship as a wedding planner in Minnesota and most weddings with food, drinks, cake, musician, flowers and decoration was $10000 and up.

I know - I was really surprised but pleasantly so - what makes it even better is that we are having everything we want so the cost isn't at the expense of having something we don't want! I was expecting it to be much more expensive because of the planner but it wasn't. Its really worth checking these things out - our planner saved us money just by knowing the right places to go

They received our petition in CSC on July 18th. Still no NOA1 Hardcopy.... anyone else having a long wait for the hardcopy like this??

Hi! It's the first time I'm posting here.. I hope you can get it! When did you send your petition? We sent July 25th and until now we have no idea how the process is going on.. we send as money order.. so we don't know if it was cashed..

From what I gather anyone filed mid-late july are having to wait quite a while for NOA1. It seems the SC's are bogged down due to pre fee increase rush. I just hope things speed up. By the end of this week I'll have taken the plunge and booked my wedding date!!!

Is there anyone else who filed mid-late july still waiting for NOA1?

I sent mine off on July 21st, arrived July 24th. I was issued my NOA1 on August 2nd, but i still have received NOTHING in the mail from them at all. I only know that I was issued my NOA1 because I called them.

*allows self to be lassoed* Okay, ya caught me. I sent it in on July 27th and it was received July 30th. The NOA1 only just arrived this past Saturday, August 25th. I sent it to Nebraska and it got forwarded to California so I figured that was the issue with the wait.

Send a PM to weedebz and she'll add you to the July filers spreadsheet. Make sure you give her the date listed on your NOA1, not the date you received it in the mail. (Thats the same way it should be entered on your timeline too!)

I always thought it was the notice date on the hard copy which for me is the same as the received date on the USCIS website. However, bszoom42 who produces the great K1 & K3 status reports insists that we should be entering the received date on the hard copy. For me, that is the same day they physically received the petition in Vermont.

VJ says to enter the "receipt", but that could mean the received date on the USIS website or the received date on the hard copy.

The NOA1 date has no impact on the projected adjudication date so I guess it is not very important. However, it would be nice if everyone was entering it the same way.

Actually, I think I should be the Last July Filer as they received it on 1-Aug, they just cashed my check the other day. I've note received the paper copy of NOA1 and am still waiting for my bank to scan in the check so I can get the R number off the back. I also mailed to Nebraska and had it transfered to CSC. I think maybe VSC is the slow one now.

A conundrum indeed! It seems to me that the date the service center actually acknowledges the receipt of your petition (NOA1) would be the date to go by, particularly since it is also referred to as the Notice of Receipt. To me its odd that the date it arrived in the post at the service center is being used. But what do I know?

Yes, that is what I entered on my timeline also.

It would be nice if a moderator took notice of the confusion and posted clear instructions. Until then, I am sticking with the Notice Date on the hard copy of the NOA1 = my received date on the USCIS website.

I actually think I'm the last July filer to come clean with everyone. It arrived July 24 at the CSC from my parents' place in Ohio (I live in Mexico with my fiance) and the NOA1 was dated August 1 on the website and Aug. 2 on the hardcopy. Is that normal?

Now the very frustrating waiting process, as I am ready to move back to the US from Mexico.

And how did they give you the number? What did you say? My fiance called and they just say that we must wait at least until 45 days from the date that we send the petition..

NOA1 ARRIVED, NOA1 ARRIVED

Okay here's my dates... pick the one you like the best:

I mailed the package on 29-July

USPS says that NSC got it on 1-Aug

NOA1 Hardcopy arrives in the mail from CSC on 27-Aug

"Received Date" on NOA1 Hardcopy is 29-July

"Notice Date" on NOA1 Hardcopy is 23-August

USCIS Web-site says "received" on 22-August

USCIS Web-site says "last updated" on 24-August

So the mail was delivered on 1-Aug and the package sat around "waiting it's turn" until it got entered into the system on 22/23-August.

Am I a July Filer?
