I feel so "official" now... We are on the path.

I had so many stupid little worries...

Were they going to reject my application package because the two hole punch I put at the top wasn't "perfect"? I set the damn punch to the size I thought it needed to be and even checked it on a piece of scrap paper but then after I'd punched all my stuff and tried to put the ACCO fastener in the holes were too damn close together!!! Anyway I simply reset the punch and re-punched the papers. This caused the one hole to be shaped like an 8 on it's side (oh, that would be the sign for infinity wouldn't it). Part of my mind said so what... they are just going to take it all apart and put it in a file jacket anyway but part of my mind said "you idiot... they are going to send this back and make you do it again so they can make you pay the new fee"

I worried about the damn ACCO fastener cause I didn't notice till it was to late that I'd only bought the bottom half of the things and didn't have that top piece that slides over the clip holding everything closed. Why on Earth would they sell these as 2 parts??? Part of my mind said so what... they are just going to take it all apart and put it in a file jacket anyway but part of my mind said "you idiot... they are going to send this back and make you do it again so they can make you pay the new fee". (oh, anybody need any ACCO bottom parts? I've got 99 left).

It was postmarked on Sunday the 29th of July but they didn't get it until the 1st of Aug... okay the sane part of my mind said... "Whew, just made it" while the insane, everything that can go wrong will" part was saying "they are going to send this back telling me I was late and to "prove" that I'd post-marked it on SUNDAY". Then they'd find some way to make me pay the new fee.

"Her" G325 Bio stuff and letter and all that were on A4 and my stuff was on 8 1/2 by 11 so I cut her pages down to 11" but I don't have a paper cutter so the cut wasn't exactly "perfect"... Again, so what. But would this be a reason to reject the package (so they could get the new fee) or was I simply being paranoid? I mean the cut was good enough and there is that comment on the USCIS site about making all the pages the same size.

I did my passport size photo myself at home. Was the background "white" enough for them? Was my face lite well enough for them? The size was spot on but did they have a reason to reject it (so they could get the new fee).

Oh my God.... they are going to find a reason to reject the package I just know they are. Every day I came home from work fully expecting to find my package returned to me.

All that is behind me now and I can relax a bit...

 !!!THEY CASHED MY CHECK!!!!

Can I get a Whoop Whoop...

Now I'm just waiting for my bank to process the scan of the check so I can see the back on-line and get my "R Number".

Then I sit back and enjoy the ride...

Gratz!!! I worry about it as well - especially when I find out how much time and thought you all put into the packages - I very much doubt Jeremy hole punched anything - he did divide the package up into four parts or however it is meant to be done but I wouldn't worry - I can pretty much guarantee that our package looks much less pretty than yours! I guess at the end of the day it is the content that counts no matter how it looks...

Tomorrow... today it's a nice walk through "The Plaza" (that's Kansas City's "up-scale" shopping area), a nice late lunch somewhere with sidewalk tables and lingering over a glass of wine, or two, as I people watch and enjoy the band.

Bill I'm taking a day off from worry... I'm happy as a clam... oh, clams! That sounds good... maybe I'll order the stuffed clams. :P

Good for you!! I felt much the same when we got our NOA1 - we didn't send a check so we celebrated the hard copy - I was so so happy and excited... a month on and I want more now!!! No touches, nothing... I can't even convince myself that's a good sign as I don't think anyone here has had many if any touches yet so it just plain means they haven't started processing them yet... :(

Sorry for the depressive-ness! *turns frown upside-down*

Been a few days since one month of having NOA1 in hand.

I'd love to see progress, but I'm not worried, it's only been 30 days-ish.

If we get past 90 days without NOA2 then I might worry or be pissed. But for now, I've got other things to really 'worry' about.

Well we have decided to take the risk. We are booking our wedding date!! Going to be last week in April, just waiting on confirmations. That will be 9months and 3 weeks from filing date. So far waiting on 2 venues getting back to us, one is a gazebo in a rock garden in Kearney, NE. Which will be nice. Other option, if I can drag some cash to help out from my parents will be a VERY old church in Grand Island. So as long as I can get everything prcessed including interview (hopefully successfully) by early March I'll be happy.

Most of you guys are sitting pretty and I can't help but to be a bit disgruntled.

I sent in my 129f on the 26th of July and I ha_e (sorry "bfee" key is broken) not recei_ed the NOA nor has my check been cashed.

What's worse is that I sent it out days before mo_ing across the country and I lost the confirmation number for USPS tracking.

So... I'_e been waiting for the check to clear and nothing.

I'm worried the package didn't e_en make it.

This is truly bringing me down really f-ing quick.

If I call USCIS can they tell me whether they'_e recei_ed a packet with just my personal info?

good luck to all, and some for me as well.

we filed our 129f on july23rd (tsc) and we received noa1 last week... they seem to be processing.

be patient...

wow, thats great!!! i guess i would vote for the old church and for a dress with a LONG train ;)

we are thinking abt trashing the k1 and going for DCF instead. that way we could have our winter-fairy-tale december 29th wedding and escape the AOS, EAP and AP torture. we will call the embassy tomorrow to check if it would be possible. keep your fingers crossed for us :)

hope everybody has a great weekend!

I think they are both beautiful! It's nice to know that if you can't stretch the budget to the church that your second choice is just as pretty :D

The church looks very cute and I love the building with that double staircase - would make for wonderful photos! Just hope you don't get the photographer on that website - I guess other people may disagree but I hate the really soft focus shots :P I want everything in crisp detail!!! If I want to photoshop things afterwards then that's my prerogative!!!

Not sure what the weather is like in NE but hopefully by April things may have settled down weather-wise? I'm note sure what our weather is going to be like either but such is life!!

Ok I posted this as a separate topic in the main forum for K1 applicants and got NO response, so I wanted to post it here to see if any of my July filer peeps have had any experience or can offer any advice. Here's the question I asked:

hello everyone, I have another question:

My fiance will be visiting me in november of this year, I'm excited because he'll be here for my sister's wedding and for thanksgiving!! Anyways he usually goes from Panama to Miami, but this time he will be going from Panama directly to Orlando. I know he can visit while we're in the process (and we might even get the NOA2 while he's here! *fingers crossed*) but does anyone have any experiences going through this POE? Now, there is a chance that he might make a stop in Miami (if we purchase the tickets with AA) but if we purchase the tickes through Copa Airlines it'll be a direct flight to Orlando. Please if anyone has any experience going thru Miami or Orlando while in the process of a K1 your insight is greatly appreciated!! As always Good luck and speedy processes to all of you!

Hopefully someone can comment on this. Yes, I know it might seem like a "dumb" question but I'm taking a break (procrastinating?) from studying and I was just curious. Wishing the best to all of you!

-Michelle B.
