Most of you guys are sitting pretty and I can't help but to be a bit disgruntled.

I sent in my 129f on the 26th of July and I ha_e (sorry "bfee" key is broken) not recei_ed the NOA nor has my check been cashed.

What's worse is that I sent it out days before mo_ing across the country and I lost the confirmation number for USPS tracking.

So... I'_e been waiting for the check to clear and nothing.

I'm worried the package didn't e_en make it.

This is truly bringing me down really f-ing quick.

If I call USCIS can they tell me whether they'_e recei_ed a packet with just my personal info?

good luck to all, and some for me as well.

Timeline:

7.26.07 sent I-129f

9.07.07 check cleared

Sorry, USCIS will not help.

There were 6 petitions sent to TSC in the period 2 days before and 2 days after 7/26. None of them have registered a NOA1 yet.

Your petition landed at a very busy time and then got transferred to another service center. I think you will need to wait a while longer.

Sorry. :(

of course she will. I am the most un-girlie girl I know...I hate shopping, love anything with an engine (inc fixing up old bikes and cars), parachute jump, scubadive and I'm addicted to PC gaming. But this whole getting married stuff has brought out what I believe is an imbedded gene that makes me think about dresses, flowers and soppy romantic stuff. ......at least I get to look at wedding cars too, mind you I'm considering horseback!!!!

One thing I'm looking forward to over there is buying myself a classic american car (1950's-60's) and fixing it up. Can't believe I need to do another driving test though....been on the roads 10 and half years here and the only wreck I've had was when someone drove into the back of my car so hard they wrote it off!

We've got a lot of time to kill and not too much time fooling around with our fiances!! Having said that, I won't be around for the next 2 weeks because in 13 hours time, I FLY TO AMERICA! Errrm, I'm just a little bit excited... As well as getting re-aquainted(!!!) I have some wedding stuff to accomplish - Meeting with the potential florist on friday, with the potential caterer on monday, and then a potential dj next week. It's all go! I am very indecisive, but I've done my research, so if I don't like these guys, I'll carry on searching, but I'm pretty sure I'll just book them all. I can't hack it any more - there's just too much choice. I'm kinda done looking around now. I'm bored, I want to move onto looking at honeymoons! We are having our "white wedding" in May 08, but the "official" wedding will be... Hopefully before the white wedding! Your guess is as good as mine. It's gonna be tough, because my family want me to wait until the white wedding until we get married officially. One husband, one wedding. This is great in an ideal world, but I am getting married in front of all my friends and family in a white dress with a big party, and I really couldn't give two hoots whether I have already been to the courthouse and gone through the motions, in order to be with FI a few months earlier.

We were toying with the idea of that but decided we only wanted one wedding :) We have a wedding planner which makes life so much easier! We are doing everything we dreamed in one go (although at this rate that excludes living together directly after we marry!!) and I can't wait!

Have fun in the States!!

Jason - you'll be looking at all our dresses, wondering what Sasha's will look like and be loving it so don't you jest!! You can join in the girly banter - I am sure you will enjoy ;)

Debz - do we really have to take our driving tests again? I was going to have some lessons and maybe take a test anyway but I didn't know it was essential... Not looking forward to driving over there - took me ages to get the courage to do it here! As for transport - we are going to our wedding in a white limo avec ribbon - maybe not first choice but it works ;) Hoping for horse and carriage at our UK reception though :D

I've been warned about NE weather.....FREEZING in winter (same as scotland then).....ROASTING in summer (not good as I shut down at 75F max and it goes over 100F)......then tornados inbetween (not looking forward to my first tornado experience)

AZ for you....isn't that desert???.......oooooo ####### that.....my scottish blood couldn't cope.....I don't do heat well!

NOW Alaska......that I could do!!!!!!

We're getting married in AZ and I'll be living in CA so all pretty warm - beats the crappy English summer though!! Tornadoes I am sure you will be fine with - I have earthquakes to contend with so between us we could perhaps develop unnatural skills in weather-stunts and get jobs as stunt people in Hollywood... or something... ;? Only experienced one earthquake but it was little. There was a massive wildfire a few miles from us as well (100sq miles or so) last summer so it is all very exciting(!)

AZ is kinda desert but where we are getting married is beautiful :) It has trees and everything!!! You can see pics on my facebook - look up my Sedona album.. or I could stop being lazy and find it...

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=7736...mp;id=739675434

It really is very beautiful :)

Alaska... I think I would get a bit too cold - will def visit there someday though! Have to visit every State!

ARIZONA! thats where we will live! eric works in tucson, thats only 2-3 hours away from sedona. Sedona is a beautiful place, the red rocks on the one hand, and then these spiritual freeks on the other hand....hehe. we just spent the last weekend there.

we will probably do the wedding in vegas, really freaky, and then the big beautiful ceremony in germany next winter. the american wedding industry is so scary, i really don't want to have my ceremony there. as long as you don't spend 25K on your wedding you are considered an outcast. CRAZY!!!!!!!

Yeah, that's the only downfall to sharing this profile with her. We both use it everyday. And strangely enough, we dont have to log out. We can actually both be signed on with 2 different computers across the world from each other. Isnt that crazy? We expected that we'd have to "time share" or something.

That is quite weird! Some things log you out from one computer if you are logged in from anywhere else for security reasons... I guess in this kind of place though it prolly makes sense to not do that!

In other news - Jeremy can get time off over Christmas so we can spend our first Christmas together this year - that's like seven weeks before we get married! Soooo exciting!!! We didn't think he was going to be able to get time off work so I have been banking on settling for second best but that is just great!!
