Yes it's true! I did get an approval today and yes I cannot explain to you why cuban petions are so quick, but I do want to shed some light on this subject matter....Cuban K-1 applicants are NOT ASYLUM SEEKERS! Where the did you get this rubbish? If that was the case I would not apply for K-1 Visa....I can understand your frustation and I am sure you too will get your approval sooner or later....We are all in the same boat here.

Oh you have my sympathy, the saying goodbye is never easy. Will you get a chance to see him again before the 'big move'?

I'm flying out to see Scott on 29 Sep for 10 days then that'll be it for us until the visa is issued.

I hope your surprise is a nice one and I hope your goodbye isn't too dreadful. :(

Well I woke at 5.30am then every half hour til I couldn't stay in bed any longer at 8am. I got up, tidied the house from top to bottom, did all the ironing, vacuuming (even had Jeremy vacuuming upstairs!!!) Was ok-ish except for the manic OCD qualities I was demonstrating until about 9.30 when the tears started (really good for me as when I visited him at Easter I was a nervous wreck who couldn't sleep for the last week of my two-week trip!!!). I had a good cry in the car when we left at 10.30am and cried most of the way to the bus station on and off. Then I cried when he left, watched him walk out of sight then cried in the car on the way home. Then as I had to go to the post office I had to sort myself out a bit and now I am kinda ok again - it's just the transition periods I hate - we've been so used to being apart that actually being apart isn't as painful as one of us leaving :)

Anyway - he should be halfway to London now as his coach left at 11am :) Not sure when we are seeing each other next but it won't be as long as last time which was over four months and we only have five and a half months until we are married so there is a brightside - even if we do have to go down the K-3 route :)

My surprise is something he has been working on the whole time he was here and even before he got here - I returned home to find on my bed a note that said "The one thing that will never change - I LOVE YOU" (ok I'm crying again now!) and underneath that was another note that was typed saying: "The Quest of Secret Treasures. [some weird symbols here]. Prepare to Embark on an Epic Journey. Find the secret clues hidden around the house. They could be anywhere." I've found a few so far: little squares of paper that have a symbol on one side and a letter on the other - some of the symbols match the ones on the second note but some of the others don't so the puzzle must be in more than one part... anyway - he knows how much I love puzzles and games and things so I have to figure out what it all means!

I got my approval today and I am a July Filer............YES! Finally....

GRATZ!!!!! Omg I can't believe it - that is so fast it isn't even funny! I only wish the UK was as fast! I think most of us are or will become very philosophical about this whole process - at the end of the day we are all in the system now so all we can do is wait. We can ###### and gripe and moan and worry but really it isn't going to do us any favours :) Saying that though... I wouldn't mind a bit of news like ischia's ;D

Jeraly- You're story is so sweet! We all know how sad you are for having to say goodbye. It never gets any easier. But how cool and wonderful that Jeremy left you a puzzle to solve! Sounds like a very creative guy! I can't wait to hear how it all works out!

hello. I wish we could all get our approvals now....but still...feels kinda cool completing the next coloumn in the spreadsheet. Which brings me to my next point, few more updates to do so they'll be appearing in the next 5-10mins.

Jeraly, just remember....it's never "goodbye" it's "see you later". Easy for me to say with my Nick here with me until decemeber but then after 6months living together we'll need to go our seperate ways until I can go with visa in hand. It will be a big change after so long together.

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

the dress. the dress. the dress. i can't stop crying. we were planning on having a religious ceremony for our families and friends, in germany right after christmas. now we just got notice from the priests that they would risk their jobs if they would do it, due to the legal link between church and state in germany. you have to be legally married first. what we obviously cant.

so. i just bought my dress. it fits the most perfect. i even already got the shoes. for a weddign in 2 years or so. we want to have our ceremony in germany whatsoever. i means the world for us. my sibblings can't afford plane tickets to the US as they have a bunch of kids.

want to have a peek at the dress?
