Don't worry about it... I'm resigned to the fact that we are going to be the last July Filer approval. I guess sarcasm doesn't come across well in writing (or maybe I'm just no good at it).

I wasn't sure whether it was sarcasm or that I had genuinely upset you, and it was the latter I was concerned about. I know where you are coming from, I kept seeing friends being approved throughout December and then the slowdown in January and getting past 180 days was really unbearable. It is hard waiting and fighting the feeling that you will be the last in your bunch or that some other delay might happen.

I feel very fortunate that we got our approval last week but I haven't forgotten what it is like to feel...well, forgotten. One thing that kept me going last week was the knowledge that CSC had quoted July 18th as their marker for approving I-129F's. I knew at that point that something would come soon. Please keep the faith. I am certain you will get your approval any day now.

London has been pretty good about giving out interview dates within a month or two of pkt 3. I did my employer letter and I 134 soon after I got noa2.

I got mine notarized at the local ups store. But banks do them too. U can look up local notaries on the internet.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering about whether I might get a faster interview than usual just as a result of the slowdown at CSC and reduction in K1 applications following the fee increase. Since most of the July filers have already been allocated interviews or visas (!) maybe I will make it over in March after all! I know she ordered her employers letter already and was worried it might not be new enough when it comes around to the interview.

woohoo, Thee_Rak! this is it... I can feel it in my waters :D

*tries to look mysterious; instead looks constipated and slightly crazy*

in other news, I have had a shot in each arm and am now feeding myself with chocolate covered marshmallows under the pretence that this GREAT hardship means that I deserve them :D

bloody America

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

I have never heard that phrase. It's now my favorite phrase ever, because when I start using it in common conversation I know people are just going to stop talking and back away. More than normal, anyway.

It's true, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The sugar and cocoa act as a natural...um...antibiotic...thing.

Hello there.

My fiance has his K-1 interview in a few hours OH MY GOD! Okay and I wondering for those who have been approved and traveled to the US recently through JFK:

Did they ask for a work permit stamp?

Did they get it?

Since my fiance will be tranferring to Seattle from JFK...how long did the process take?

Did you get a roundtrip ticket or one-way?

I do not want him to miss his connecting flight and be stuck in NY overnight or anything.

Thank you!

Crissy

Best Regards,

Crissy

henc henc

it's a phrase from Kath & Kim... Aussie comedy... about to be remade for an American audience because heaven forfend that Joe Average sees something from a different culture; it might lead to TRAVEL! and UNDERSTANDING! and BROAD-MINDEDNESS!

(that's a rant at stupid TV execs, not normal Americans ;) )

*lapping up the benefits of all the antibiotic thingamies*

I just read your interview questions. That was a really super thing to do...thank you! I found it helpful, but freaky. Man they asked you a lot. I heard they just ask like 2-3 questions. My fiance has his interview in a couple of hours and I am just freaking out!

Since most of the July bunch are seasoned K1ers now I wondered if you could point me in the direction of decent info on what to do next. I've read the flowchart on the guides here and had a quick look around for threads but I'm lazy not sure which forum is best for this stuff.

Thanks! :D

Haha - I haven't really done anything... Post NOA2 you can wait a week then try calling NVC/DOS to see if they have your file yet - it is recommended you call each day after that but CVC is so ####### slow that it can take around a month :P I'd call once a week then after three weeks call back each day :) They will then tell you your LND# if you ask nicely and tell you when they received it/sent it to embassy :)

I've attached instructions that were posted on VJ as well by rouguewave to help you try and track your case from NVC to embassy :)

Start trying to get the evidence for your I-134 now as from what I can see - other than the forms (which you can fill in online) this is the most time-consuming thing :)

Best Regards,

Crissy
