Since most of the July bunch are seasoned K1ers now I wondered if you could point me in the direction of decent info on what to do next. I've read the flowchart on the guides here and had a quick look around for threads but I'm lazy not sure which forum is best for this stuff.

Haha - I haven't really done anything... Post NOA2 you can wait a week then try calling NVC/DOS to see if they have your file yet - it is recommended you call each day after that but CVC is so ####### slow that it can take around a month I'd call once a week then after three weeks call back each day They will then tell you your LND# if you ask nicely and tell you when they received it/sent it to embassy

I've attached instructions that were posted on VJ as well by rouguewave to help you try and track your case from NVC to embassy

Start trying to get the evidence for your I-134 now as from what I can see - other than the forms (which you can fill in online) this is the most time-consuming thing

I live in an apartment and have been for the past 3 years. I made a bad investment in some real estate (nice lot on the 18th fairway of a beautiful golf course in South Florida) so my credit is all locked up right now. Anyway I don't think that your address has much to do with anything as long as you don't move every other month ;-)

That's ok. When i purchased the house I wanted to have my mother living with me. When my sweetie gets here im adding another part of the house for my mother.

I think it would b interesting to live near D's parents/family especially coz I m used to a big family as an Indian. Also would b a little more reassuring when D's not here with me. I sometimes think about how I will b all by myself for sometime and that really freaks me out

Hehe - Jeremy lives with his aunt in a trailer so I am sure an apartment would be quite cushtie Don't get me wrong - his aunt is a very sweet lady but she has no concept of words like "clean" and "hygeine"... Not good!! Jeremy is going to try and get us a place before I come out - we would like a house but are looking to get an apartment at first so we can try and rent and save then get a house with a mortgage or if at all possible, build our own...

Who knows what the future holds?!

my man lives in an apt in LA as well... I dont think that this going to b a problem.... some families are just at the beginning, therefore an apt is great ( i think)
