i just need to vent a little, so i figured this was the best place to do it

im sooooooooo sad because i havent seen my love in two months and its going to be a veryyyy long time before i get to

i was planning a 9 day visit for november 16, but my boss just told me that i cant have that week off, because someone else in my department already took it!!!!!!!!!!!!

now im begging for christmas week so that i can have an 11 day vacation at that time...that will be 4 1/2 months from now!!!!!!! add that on top of the 2 months its already been, thats 6 1/2 months!!!!!! we have never gone longer than 4 months without seeing eachother, and those 4 months were torturous...i dont know when his interview will be, probably not until january or february, but i dont want to wait so long to see my shpirt....im so sad right now

That completely sucks. And I do feel your pain. My initial mantra when we filed our I-129f was "All I want for Christmas is my new husband" But now I'm thinking I'll be lucky to have him here for Valentine's day. Sigh.

In October we have a 5 day meet up in Canada, though. Which is better than nothing. He won't risk anymore trips to the US without the Visa.

Hang in there, hopefully your work will give you some time off!

oh, babybluesusie, I'm sorry... it really is difficult to deal with the long absences sometimes, and especially when you thought you were going to see each other so soon and now you can't... *hug*

i am currently looking up all the stuff i have to keep mind because it will be a marriage with different nationalities. i feel scared, i don't want to make mistakes.... HELP!!!!!

I totally feel your pain. I think most of us do!

All I can tell you is HANG IN THERE!!! Remember, 'This too shall pass'. Before you know it there will be Garland, Snow flakes and Christmas Trees all over the place, Holiday commercials will be urging get out there and spend and you will be boarding a plane to your sweetie!

i dunno abt a prenup. unless you're very well off & are worried about protecting assests for loved ones down the road.

IMO: its kinda a sign of distrust to me. & it could be a little insulting to your SO if you don't approach it the right way. you can always make adjustments later if you feel something bad coming your way. no need to create a problem if there isn't one.

I agree, but I don't think she could read properly. She told me that there were no letters on the back, just numbers. Lo and behold, when i checked online today what do u think I saw...lots of letters and numbers.

How long is it taking everyone to receive their NOA1 hardcopies in the mail? My petition was received in CSC on july 18th, and I still havent received it yet..

we sent the package on July 18, and had receipt of delivery on July 19... our cheque was cashed on August 2, from which I got the WAC number and found our actual NOA1 date (July 27), and the hard copy arrived at my finance's house a day or two after that

while I'm happy it all went so promptly for us (and that was with this unaccountable switch from Vermont to California as well!), I wouldn't be worried if I were you... people wait longer, and as many have said: the NOA1 isn't even that important... as long as you have the tracking number and can see what's going on, it's the NOA2 that's really crucial; if you never get a hard copy of the NOA1 it won't be a problem for you

This is my first post...I'm so happy to find all of this information...it's helping to keep me sane in this time of crazy paperwork and constant checking for "touches"...

sent I129-f on July 23rd to NSC

received on July 25th at NSC

Check cashed by CSC on Aug 3rd

NOA1 mailed from CSC on Aug 2nd (Notice Date on form is Aug 1st)

Touched on August 7th.......

Thanks to everyone who posts...I will be here (along with checking for touches) daily...Hearing other peoples stories help me get through all this until my handsome filipino finally gets here...
