FIRST OF ALL CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE RECENT APPROVALS I havent been online a lot lately but I am really happy to see, that its moving on....

:energetic: :energetic: We have also been approved, but we never received a NOA 2, but a letter from the NVC that our package has been approved and that it has been forward to Frankfurt embassy

Congratulations! I had no idea that NVC sent out letter too. At least that means we have another way to indicate approval when USCIS systems fail. This is great news. Good luck for the rest of your journey. Make sure you get that hardcopy NOA2!

i got a question, where can i get my NOA 2, dont I need that for the AOS???

my lany 23: From what I've read here, you're right, you DO need the hard copy NOA2 for AOS. Have you called USCIS to make sure they sent it to the correct address? Have you moved at all since filing? I believe there is a form and a fee to get another copy sent to you.

what happens in extended review?? or is it more of an extended break time??

I honestly still do not know what "extended review" is. Extended break time??? They better NOT be just taking a break from our file lolol!!! It's a small file, no reason it would cause anyone enough fatigue to take a long break from working it.

From what my fiance and I have read on VJ it sounds like it's the name check stage and also one of the times I called USCIS the man told me it was in name checks and would go to an adjucator after that.

I'm wondering at what point our petitions go through the name check. I'm starting to think it's pretty early on since when I called in December the lady (the 1st time I called) said it had been there for quite a while already.

Well, ER is not the same thing as AP, I've concluded that much. AP seems to involve being given some kind of rejection or need to submit a waiver AFTER the interivew takes place. I think it's just a term they threw at me to mean it's stuck in the namecheck stage since one of the USCIS ppl did say that. I think there's nothing on VJ about ER because most people don't even know they were in it (namecheck). It normally only takes 72 hours so... #######?

I am pretty sure the touches in December are due to my calls (2) and my congressional inquiry. Can't figure out what else they'd have been for. The last touch is 12/31 and the letter I received from my congressman is dated 1/3. Not sure why they'd have touched it so many times just to tell him it is in extended review, but whatever.
