So I don't think I quite understand...do you actually have an RFE? The RFE "trick" is just a way of actually getting to speak with a customer service person. You don't want to actually tell them you have an RFE.

If he said your case is "pending a decision," it sounds like it's at least on somebody's desk. That's got to be promising news.

The phone system "said" that I must send in whatever evidence has been requested. That, to me, sounds like the "system" thinks there's an RFE. After some thought I believe that it's a generic phone message on the system and it's simply telling me that since I've chosen the prompts to get to this spot clearly I must have an RFE and that I should send in what they are asking for. It's just that since you get this message after you've entered in your Receipt # and the system goes away and looks up your status it makes you feel like the system thinks you've been issued an RFE.

I agree that since "dude" came back and said that they my case is pending a decision it "might" be on someones desk and I "should" hear something soon. Shouldn't that generate a "touch" though???

When you did an RFE trick did your date ever changed? When I called to do an RFE trick my date changed. Weird.. Till now I still don't have my NOA2..... god please help us...

When I called, my date changed that day, and then again the next day. There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason as to when/if the date chances. Yet another reason "touches" are meaningless. <_<

Congratulations! I had no idea that NVC sent out letter too. At least that means we have another way to indicate approval when USCIS systems fail. This is great news. Good luck for the rest of your journey. Make sure you get that hardcopy NOA2!

Yay! It's about time we saw some gratzies around here!!! I've been slowly going through the July spreadsheet (I have linked to it from my visa page which is in my siggie - I have too many links otherwise!!!) updating and PM-ing people who I think may be withholding information... (naughty!)

You will notice that it is beginning to fill up a bit - the people without asterisks at the far right are the ones I haven't got around to checking yet, the people in bold are people who are up to date (although haven't checked that on VSC yet) and the highlighted people are those with completed dates up to POE location and date :D Apart from Julez but then I haven't got to her yet and she is in the UK right now :)

Oh keep the good news coming - it does make me smile :)

so let me be sure I've got this right...

You can call the NVC and speak to a human being between the hours of Six a.m. and Midnight!!!!! or 18 hours a day and you can call the CSC and speak with a human being between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. or 10 hours a day.

Processing at CSC (one of 2 offices) takes months and months and months and months and months and months (and months) while processing at NVC (the only office in the country and they touch every application) takes like 2 weeks.

do I have that right?
