Hello Everyone. Finally go reunited with my fiance and now husband. We are soo happy.... After 2 years since we filed 7/28/07 we received our visa on August 4, 2009... don't give up. if you know USEM is wrong fight for it... We did...

@Audrey - well it's kinda almost the end of the month so you might not have long to wait if the 8-ball is correct!!! And don't worry about being left behind - I'm not sending my packet 3 back until I get home which is like 29th Feb so I will get the packet out that day or the 1st March - at this rate I will be moving at the same time as you!! I'm not moving until (in my mind) 29th June :)

Oh - quick other thought - I want to try and get my interview date and medical for the same day - do I just need to wait on getting my interview date back then book my medical then? What are the chances of them not having a slot for me for the medical on the same day?

Oh! Audrey! Check out the spreadsheet - someone else got their NOA2 after an RFE on 1/11/08 :D That means you must be soon as well!! Theirs took 190 days total :) You're on 196 so that must mean you will hear back soon! :D

Funny story to share - today at work a colleage was asking questions of her 8 ball. This is weird. She said, "Is Audrey's NOA2 going to come tomorrow?" and the 8 ball said "my sources say no". Then she asked, "Will she get it by the end of the week?" and the answer was "very doubtful". Then she asked if I would have it by next Monday and the ball said "Don't count on it." By this time, I told her to quit and that it didn't look very good. (Neither does the USCIS at this point - I think the 8 Ball is onto something.) She then asked if I would see the NOA2 by the end of the month and the 8 ball said "As I see it yes." Hallelujah!!!!!!

I guess time will tell.

Lol! This cracked me up when i read it this morning :lol: . I can't wait to see if the 8 ball is correct.

I'm off to shovel 13" of pure white ####### off my driveway now. I sure love winter! :angry:

What the heck...

This is nuts!!! I can book a round-trip flight from the West Coast USA (LAX - BKK - SFO) for $1,099 on Cathay Pacific but booking the one-way Cathay flight from BKK to SFO (exact flight as the return leg above) is $1,700!!!!!

Can someone explain that to me???

What would the risks be of buying a round-trip ticket for her from BKK - SFO - BKK even though she is entering the US on a K1? Do you think that the agent at SFO would deny entry because she was holding a return ticket?

07/29/07 ---- Mailed I-129F

08/25/07 --- Check finally cashed (8/27 I should be able to see the R number on the back).

08/27/07 --- NOA1 Arrives from CSC and I create my account profile on the USCIS.Gov web-site (the clock starts)!!!

02/05/08 --- After 191 days NOA2 (Approval) comes at last!!!!

2/14/08 --- NVC sends letter saying that it's on the way to the US Embassy in Bangkok

2/25/08 --- She receives Packet 3 from the Embassy

3/29/08 --- She receives Packet 4 with interview date (July 11th).

3/30/08 --- I e-mail the Embassy asking to make the date earlier because I've already got our tickets for June 13th!!!

5/6/08 --- No help from the Embassy. Rebooked tickets and vacation till September.

5/21/08 --- Embassy calls her and moves interview to May 27th!!!!! You have got to be kidding me!!!

9/21/08 --- POE San Francisco!!!!

12/8/08 --- Married!!!!

12/15/08 --- Mail AOS + AP + EAD package to Chicago

12/28/08 --- Come back from vacation and find AOS/AP/EAD NOA 1 and Bio App notices in the mailbox!!!

1/13/09 --- Bio Appt

4/22/09 --- AOS Interview "APPROVED"!!!

3/04/2011 --- OUR BABY IS BORN... We have a son!!!!!

3/10/2011 --- Mail I-751 application to lift conditions on residency

This has been discussed elsewhere - there is no problem booking a round trip ticket - just don't turn up for the return leg :)

On another note - PLEASE UPDATE YOUR TIMELINES AND PM ME WITH UPDATES TO THE SPREADSHEET!!

I just spent my whole lunch hour checking people's timelines then the website screwed up and didn't save any of it *sigh* owel - I will get round to updating things as soon as I get a chance...

Did any of you know that one of our July CSC-ers for example is due to make the big move on 25th jan?!?! I was amazed!!

Ok - overrunning my lunch now anyway *sigh* what a waste of time... stupid site

My timeline is totally up-to-date. It hasn't taken me any effort at all to keep it up since there's been NO ACTION AT ALL in the past 178 days since the NOA1.

What would the risks be of buying a round-trip ticket for her from BKK - SFO - BKK even though she is entering the US on a K1? Do you think that the agent at SFO would deny entry because she was holding a return ticket?

Just to clarify Aly's advice, if you're only planning on flying one leg of a 2-way ticket, it must be the first leg. If you don't show up for the first leg they cancel the entire itinerary.

Okay now I'm totally loosing my friggin' mind...

Between the "delay" at CSC and this ####### about one-way ticket prices I'm starting to freak about the time all together. Looking at the rest of the average processing time from NAO2 - NVC - Embassy she might not even have the visa in hand by late May when I've decided to take vacation. The next chance I have for a month off is in late August!!!

@ Audrey hang in there...it's coming. I've still got all my available digits crossed.

@ thee rak....get a return flight, that's what I'll be doing. Play around with the return date as you'll be able to make it whenever you want so put it several weeks away and it will probably get cheaper.

@ Aly..I can't get spreadsheet to load, haven't been able to for nearly a week now, not amused. :angry:

8 balls can be wrong..u never know, u might get it sooner. USCIS defies any form of logic :wacko:

NOA2 received: 12/20/07
