I dont know what happened to you guys, but it sure sucks.. I sent the k-1 into CSC around the middle of July and the visa is in Manila now. Her interview is March 03, 2008, but she hasnt rcvd the packet yet. They have a thing on the embassy website that lets you enter the case number and it gives the medical appt and interview date.

Congratulations though! Certainly no hard feelings as far as I'm concerned. There are always people left behind each month. I hoped I wouldn't be one of them but it's the luck of the draw I spose. I think I would feel worse if my petition were at VSC and I was still waiting. That beggars belief.

Good luck to you both for the interview :)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Bogota, Colombia starts at 7:00 AM and everyone has their appointment at the same time. People start lining up at 5:30 AM.

If you want to call the embassy to discuss your petition you can do so during a 2 hour window Wednesday afternoon. If you can't get through during those 2 hours you have to wait until the following week to ty again.

Obviously they try to make things as convenient as possible for petitioners and beneficiaries.

I just received this from Phil:

Hi honeybunch

Have US news reported this crash of a BA flight from China crash

landing at LHR?

It is believed both engines failed when the plane was at 400feeton the

final approach. Due to the skill of the pilot the plane just managed to

clear the perimeter fence and land in the airfield breaking all its

under catrriage and wings

** Airliner crash-lands at Heathrow **

A BA passenger jet from China crash-lands short of a Heathrow runway

after reportedly losing power.

It appears that everyone is fine. Whew!

oh doh! I didn't realise the beneficiary couldn't call and obtain info on an application. I called to ask about the 'received date' since I got worried that even though the NOA1 says 7-27-07, case status online says "On September 26, 2007, we received this I129F PETITION" and I'm thinking maybe they *have* placed me in the late September boxes. I spoke to a *really* sweet woman too and am sure she would have given me info if she could.

Our online status said the same thing that they received the application on October 16th which was the date on the NOA2 but that was different from our received date. Thats weird they dont let the beneficiary ask questions. I really hope you get yours this week! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you.

I have been away for a while. Bhushan and I got into this huge fight the day after our approval and did not talk for a week (that has never happened before!) and then finally realized all the trivial things matter little and that theres only a little more while before we can be together again. We will pick up on our fight again when he gets here ;)

I received a notice from NVC two days ago with our NVC case number and that they were forwarding it to the Mumbai Consulate in a week! Didnt know that happened so quick. I was pleasantly surprised!

Don't know about that but I remember when I lived in India that people would get in line at the consulate sometimes at 4 am to get in first!

I'm heading back there before her interview, cant wait to see her again. I like Cathay airlines myself and same flight time with phil. airline. My ticket agent warn me to get the ticket before march. School end in march in the phil. possibly increasing the fare......Good Luck.

They have the date June 18th both for CSC and VSC, but I know at least two people from VSC, who have been waiting since May 2007 and haven't got their approvals yet. In fact, each time they call VSC, they receive an answer that every case is unique and 9 months is still under normal processing times :(
