Speaking of poor cats, Aly, my poor Jasper became suddenly ill. I took him to get checked out Thursday and again Saturday and there was nothing that could be done for him. Needed some massive surgery and chance of susrvival was only 20%. So, I had to have him put to sleep. :( I am absolutely gutted. Even though I'd only had him just 2 weeks I loved that little guy so much. I'm really depressed.

I am sorry to hear this news. I know it can be tough to lose a pet. :(

Julez, I am so sorry to hear about Jasper. I am always inconsolable when I lose a pet and never feel that he/she could be replaced. Really they can't, but another different kind of character usually comes into your life and helps you get over your loss. *hugs*

I think all cats have so much personality, they can have so many expressions. I love them. Guinevere brought home a present for us today, I know she's just being nice but I'd rather she didn't. She is gradually destroying the local rodent population.

on another note...my house smells amazing...making minestrone soup just now.

09/09/2008 - Biometrics at 1pm, Omaha

09/26/2008 - AOS transferred to CSC

09/29/2008 - AOS touched (took out envelope at CSC and put in new pile)

10/03/2008 - AOS touched (probably that RFE coming soon!!!!)

10/06/2008 - AOS touched AGAIN!!! (surely it's an RFE)

10/15/2008 - EAD CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED!!!!YEY!!!

10/27/2008 - EAD IN HAND

01/12/2009 - AOS touched

Julez sorry about ur kitty.

I felt the same way when the last my fishies (Iknow, not as cuddly) of 7 yrs died..i had left the fishy with my friend while i was away at school as my parents were gone for vacation...wasn't told about fishy's death til 2 weeks later. I think my friend just plain forgot to tell me. :crying::crying:

Hmmm - don't know if we will bother going through JFK if it isn't a guarantee... I know Jeremy is worried I am goign to sit around going stir-crazy but I think I might be swapping US phone numbers with some of my fellow filers and getting a distance phone plan so we can natter on the phone all day about how weird everything is :lol:

I too am worried that Scott will sit around stir crazy with nothing to do. This whole topic is making me think we should have him fly through JFK, and then get the big truck and drive it back and forth. Doing it from Canada, it just seems silly to have him fly when we can drive his stuff down here... hmm :/

But then like another poster said (sorry I forgot who after reading 3 pages), you're not realistically losing the whole 3 months due to all the other things going on... so I'm not sure. Well, we have months to think about it.

Once he gets in the country he should not leave again. Unless you get permission. Having him drive back and forth getting his stuff would not be good.

I forgot what the form was but its something like advance parole or something.

Yeah - when you file for AOS you have the option to file for EAD and AP at the same time :)

as far as i know, with the fee increase July 31 when you file for AOS, you file for AP and EAD as a whole package.

before the fee increase it was an optional if you wanted AP or not, now you get it anyway (and you pay anyway....)

Removal of Conditions - Timeline:

5/26/2010: I-751 Received

5/27/2010: NOA
