It seems like VSC is still processing Applications in a timely manner but why won't California? I am getting so sick of this waiting game. I took this job when I got back from Minnesota in August, thinking it would be alright to do for 6 months but by now I am really sick of it and I finally want to start my life with Nick. It is so difficult as you all now to plan for the future if you don't know when your future together will start. Well, I have to think positive. I am currently working in a High Class Work Out place. Well, that's at least the label they are striving for. At least I can work out for free to loose some weight after the holidays. To bad there is the chocolate laying right next to the computer when I check the USCIS website

Are you guys planning on working in the USA right away until you get married. I heard that you are allowed to to this until you are married. On the other hand, I am wondering who would hire you for just a couple months?

Well, I would like to have a cocktail tonight instead of the Chai, but thanks for the offer!

Actually neither - I was getting so down when i remembered that when I called my Congressman's office a few months ago they told me if I hadn't heard anything by the beginnign of the year to call back. So i did yesterday and he got back to me today and said he'd put in an inquiry which he forwardeed me a copy of. that was around noon and by 5 he was calling back telling me they told him i was approvedon the 8th.

Sorry for the spelling errors.

I want to thank everyone soooo much for their support - i know i didn't post much but i was definately here all day every dya!!

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!

Good to hear that your congressman was on side. I wonder what is going on with case status. Since August they have been receiving so much more money from I-129F petitions. Doesn't seem to have bought anything in the way of improvement. Maybe paying the lower fee gets you a cut price service.

Anyway, enough of my moaning. Congrats on the NOA2. You must be feeling wonderful right now *hugs*

*sigh* me too. I've been on temp teaching contracts since September because permanent teaching contracts here can be a little hard to get out of without serving between 6 weeks and 3 months notice dependant on the school. I'm lucky that recently I got a full-time temporary contract which runs till easter but looks like I may be here even longer.

The other reason I'm going nuts now as one of the few remaining July filers yet to get NAO2 is all the comments from you all about how USCIS isn't following the notification process... Some of you have gotten an e-mail w/out the USCIS web-site being updated while some of you saw the web-site updated but never got an e-mail and still others never got an e-mail or saw the web-site updated but got the hard-copy in the mail (and yes, I know a few of you still haven't gotten your hard-copy NAO2 and your packages are at the NVC already).

I'm loosing my mind here.

MY GOD... if she gets denied I'm going to go crazy!!!!!

me too... we called the USCIS today and the agent there told us that the case left to NVCon the 4th of January... but there is no notice if we are approved or not... but he said, that we should be approved, because there is no reason to send it to NVC if we are not... well anyway i dont believe it yet until i either get pack3 or the NOA 2... wish me luck ...

Sounds like an approval to me. However, I can understand your concern as to whether it's to be believed or not. I hope it is true!

There have been a few approvals lately that skipped NOA2 and case status online. Make sure you do get your hard copy NOA2, you will need it for AOS. Good luck!

Congratulations on the recent approvals!! That's really interesting that there have been these approvals without updates/noa2's. I wonder what's up with that. Would be fabulous if the rest of us are already approved and don't even know it :P .

Hang in there you guys with the August noa1's. I went through a really rough, anxious and angry period a while ago (at about the point you are now in the waiting game). Being patient is not easy but I try to remember that there are still some June's without approvals yet and it makes me sit back and relax. I believe there are even a couple May's.

After reading the FBI's website about how they process name checks (we all go through that phase) it kinda explained why it seems like some of us are being skipped over. Most take 72 hours, but some can take up to 6 months because they have to manually look into any "hit" they find on your name. And it doesn't mean it's YOU it's just someone with a name similar to yours. It sounds like a ridiculous process.

Also there's an article somewhere on vj here that explains about the outside agency USCIS contracts to help with processing petitions. If they're slower it would explain how a June or July is sitting over there while USCIS is moving on to August because they finished their June and Julys.

Probably not much consolation, but it helped me understand a little better why I'm still waiting for an noa2 and others who filed after me are on their way to NVC or even their interview.

Congratulation! I would be lying if I said that I wasn't very jealous! What number did you call? Do you think that helps calling them? I just looked at another website and there was someone who also filed at Nebraska at the beginning of July and who still hadn't received her NOA2. This is so frustrating!

We got our packet 3 in the mail today and it was only forwarded to the Embassy on January 4th! Things really do move much faster once USCIS gets their incompetent little hands off your petition  ...sadly, it took a month for them to finally forward it.

Now my estimate date is January 20th. It is crazy. I applied on July 27th. A lot of couples did the same thing, but some folks were approved a month ago. and still many end of July filers have been waiting. And recently CSC does not approve much. I have no idea what's going on. I was planning to marry him in March, but it seems that I have to extend it to May or June. Ahhhhhh this is insane.

That sounds like a grand idea.... anyone have the Governator's phone number?!?!?

Yup, we are still waiting,too....

Vermont received our petition in late July. CSC seems to be very slow now and there's not much going on there, but therefor Vermont is busy approving SEP and OCT petitions right now, while there are still a handful of May, June and quite a few July petitions waiting. It's just driving me CRAZY....

I guess I could handle a general slowdown of my Service Center better than that feeling I have whenever I see a later petition approved.

No offence,September and October filers, but the feeling of being ignored is awful.

I totally understand what you are saying. Whilst it frustrates me that there is a vast difference in the rates at which VSC and CSC are kicking out approvals (and this fluctuates - remember when VSC were not moving at all), it is some comfort that there are a number of us at CSC awaiting approval still. Seeing a flurry of September and October filers being approved would drive me up the wall. As you say, there is no offence towards those filers intended. The system is fundamentally flawed.
